Norn Irishman who spends time between Orangeville, ON and Greece. Classical liberal POV. Freedom can be spelled Eleftheria. Never "freedumb" That's just stupid.
@MrMatthewTodd
I have an olive grove in Greece. You have no clue what you are talking about. There was no extreme drought in Greece last year.
We did have an extra heat wave in the summer. And, it has happened before.
@charlesadler
Reporters that ask questions based on a complete misleading "quote," they deserve some scolding.
Accuracy is important. That reporter's question was based on her inaccuracy.
@echipiuk
He is not a liberal. The Liberal Party
@liberal_party
is so far gone from its classical liberal roots, and they don't even know what liberalism means.
@ophello
Greece is a pretty small country, so yeah.... I'm familiar with most of it, most of the time. I also live here most of the time. I've helped with olive harvesting for years, as well (and grapes, and almonds, and other things).
@ChrisMartzWX
I've been a 4th generation beekeeper. Yeah, all this stuff makes me laugh.
The funnier thing is that honey bees are not even native to N. America - they're actually an invasive species that compete against the native bees.
@PeterHRatcliffe
Hey Peter, do you know that if I see the DPM on a sidewalk, I have a right to go ask her questions without being assaulted by the police?
You're aware of that?
@charlesadler
You're a hypocrite, Adler. You have something going on with
@ItsDeanBlundel5
yet you claim nothing is more grotesque than mocking other humans' struggles....
It's only grotesque when it suits you. Dean is grotesque and has mocked many peoples' struggles, and even how they look.
I'm in Greece. Almost every rooftop has a solar panel...to heat water.
They don't work when it is cloudy. Not hot showers on cloudy days... the winter months are horrible.
So many of you are idiots.
@charlesadler
I guess we experience tweets differently....I read about executives taking bonuses.... then layoffs.
Seems PP is focusing on the useless executives; not the layoffs. But you can spin it however you want, Adler.
@Sheila_Copps
You are trolling. It's my country as well and I support Tamara.
This country has been trashed for money by the Liberal Party. Corruption for years.
@charlesadler
@globeandmail
I've never voted CPC in my life but can easily see that media in Canada give Justin Trudeau an EASY time, while constantly barraging & doing whatever they can to rip the government opposition.
More & more Canadians can see this & that is why people like U are no longer trusted.
@ThinksIthinks
I lived in Canada most of my life, Paul. Worked on farms in ON, ranches in AB, battled the cold, and worked my ass off.
I'm a real Canadian.
@karinagould
is not a real Canadian. I'm with you, my friend.
@bensmithlive
Ben, Carrageenan is NOT banned in Europe. They add to creams (which I hate here, because of the Carrageenan).
It is banned however, for infant formula.
@cdnpoli101
Hopefully this article helps you clear up this issue of the "security clearance." Both PP AND Bloc Quebecois Leader Yves-Francois Blanchet rejected it as they would not be allowed to speak about it:
@TheJasonPugh
Dean Blundell is not a reporter. His article contains nonsense. Asking questions of a politician is not harassment.
Menzies was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer. Why do you some of you keep missing this important bit of information?
@JackDan110
As a kid, I was groomed for real, by someone who expressed the same ideas as
@JanisIrwin
"it's our secret, you can tell me anything...don't tell your mom and dad."
I will never forgive that. Janis, are you a groomer?
@CllrRyanMurphy
Hey Ryan...do you know Jordan once controlled the West Bank?
Now Jordan wants nothing to do with the place. True story. You should get an education.
Gaza was once controlled by Egypt, and now Egypt wants nothing to do with the place.
Your education has been sadly neglected.
@Mikeggibbs
You realize that I have a right, if I see Freeland on a sidewalk, to walk over and ask her questions, without being assaulted/arrested by the police?
@MsCannabisCourt
I am presently in Greece but in a rural area. I pay equiv of 700CAD for rent for 2bedrm house with an amazing view. People around seem very happy. Mandates are completely gone... people can test positive and show up for work maskless. No harassment by police. Even doing 160kmh!
@scott_robb
@PaulMitchell_AB
That's not what he did though. He made a false arrest which is an actual assault and handcuffed him as well.
That should be disturbing to you.
@patriotofga3
Better advice learned as a kid in the 70s:
Always tell someone where you are going and your route.
Learn to use compass and map.
Learn basic navigation skills. And take paper map and good compass with you. Know some basic first aid. Have first aid kit with you.
@RayburnBev
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Rideau "Cottage" has 22 rooms. The PM's meals are made for him at 24 Sussex and then brought to him at the "cottage."
Do have fun with your wordplay with "cottage."
@SuburbanPolly
Actually, if you know any history at all, Canada is a constitutional monarchy, with the monarchy being Head of The Church Of England.
I bet you didn't know that?
@KamalKheraLib
No. You can't stop traffic to pray. Even Jesus, whom some Muslims claim to respect, said you should pray in your closet. Not in public like the hypocrites do.
@JackDan110
@creeirahayes
I'm probably the last generation to have actually been taught "firearm safety" in a public school. The rifles in the classroom were .22 calibre.
Year would have been about 1975ish. Either Grade 4 or 5. Then, we had a field trip to Moss Park Armories for some target shooting.
Jagmeet gets interrupted & cut off by the baying reporter mob, responds pretty much exactly as Poilievre did but takes the time to remind everyone that he’s “not Pierre Poilievre”. 🙄
@merry123459
They've always been rated high. They didn't need to have a design change and all the money that went with that, Vicki. You're obfuscating the issue.
@JaroGiesbrecht
@CTVNews
@PierrePoilievre
So you agree there were media reports. And CTV got in on that too, and even reported govt sources...
Super. If you were in opposition, wouldn't you ask what the govt was doing?
@theJagmeetSingh
And you refuse to stand up to our corrupt government because you've got a pension plan coming.
You're more corrupt than those you criticize.
I saw that when David Lametti deleted his twitter account, people noticed but I thought it was odd there was no mention it was actually a possible govt record, which should not be totally deleted.
Perhaps inactive, but deleted. This was the Justice Minister of Canada's account
Rebel News and I filed a lawsuit today on an emergency basis.
We’re asking a judge to stop David Lametti, Trudeau’s crooked former Justice Minister, from destroying his government records. Read our lawsuit here:
@LUV2SKIPOW
I wonder how many of those he has charged in the past, ended up going to prison because of perjury?
Let's ask
@billblair
if he knows about perjury.
@Sweenis0
@kingofqueensla1
@GasPriceWizard
I worked on a farm.... try being up in a silo repairing the machinery at the top, for several hours... !!
Or even just harvesting the hay under the sun for hours and hours. Now, in Greece, I work in my small olive grove when it's above 40C. Plenty of H20 is key.
@DonaldBestCA
Wait - back in the day, it was Canadian Citizen OR British Subject. It is how my RUC trained Northern Irish father was able to be accepted very quickly by a Canadian police force, along with other former RUC serving men and women.
@TurnbullWhitby
Has Bruske polled all the workers? I used to be a 2nd VP of a major OPSEU local and learned pretty quick Union Brass will say almost anything.
@LizBraunScribe
What a horrible person you are, taking advantage of the death of a child and not knowing ALL the circumstances, yet trying to make a political thing out of it.....
What circumstances do you know about this sad event?
@supriyadwivedi
Yeah, what came through definitely, was your character. Not fit for any PMO whether Liberal or any other party.
You're on the tax payers' dime now. Don't you ever forget that.
@el_snoop
I am not the sole olive producer, but I know about so-called drought conditions.
I know what caused the issues in my, and other Greek olive groves, and it was definitely not drought.
If you are reasonable, I will agree to discuss further with you.
@HerNameIs_Bea
@MarioNawfal
He was reporting what the Daily Mail reported. It is up to individuals to take everything that is reported with a critical eye. Anyone who "feels" incited - that is their personal responsibility and the result of not thinking critically.
@canadiancynic
And here we have someone who makes you wonder, "Were both your parents retarded, or just one of them?"
Drawing an analogy between Tamara Lich and Paul Bernardo, a wicked wicked mass murderer and sexual deviant.
How insane are you really, CC?
Appointment with the Vet has been made. I have a feeling this is my last night with my Boston Terrier Beans, who has been the most awesome dog ever.
He is 13 yrs old. He's been with me 24/7.
It is so hard to see him in the condition he is now in. 😢
@FoodProfessor
Or if possible, get a flight of Greek table grapes.... lol.
Even so called "local produce" can have issues.
When I was a kid, my mom would soak local broccoli in salt water to remove those green worms. Ontario fresh produce.
@JohnLeePettim13
I truly believe they killed my father with all this "fat free" nonsense. His father, grandfather, et al all ate fat... animal fats, butter...eggs, and were healthy and lived into 80's and 90's. But they also exercised a lot, walked lots, and lots of oatmeal! That was breakfast.
@midnightriderV2
I'm presently in Greece, Mike. When I tell my Greek fiance about all the craziness in Canada and the utter corruption, she says, "Ian, Canada is really worse than Greece!"
I think she's right. Canadians are in for a reckoning.
I'm stuck alone for a few days in this Greek speaking village while waiting for the car to be fixed. I am touched by so many of the villagers who have shown concern if I'm okay, am I eating, do I have enough food, etc.... I of course, am fine but their concern is so very nice.
@calmecam
@PierrePoilievre
You got a govt grant, eh? Enjoy taking other people's money? Is that kind of you? You can't take personal responsibility for your own house, so you need the government to take from others to give to you?
Gosh...
@jennyleeshee
I have never voted for his party in my life, but I like him.
I have however, voted NDP, and have even been a VP of the largest OPSEU union.
Are you projecting and fantasizing about other people's emotions?
@FoodProfessor
LOL...
@justintrudeau
can't manage a swim party, let alone a major strike he knows about ahead of time.
What will be interesting is how
@theJagmeetSingh
responds to this - but hey, he supported the invocation of the Emergencies Act for claims of trade damage... 😂
@pancholi_rakhi
You lefty/progressives have gone totally weird. Lefties and progressives of the 80s, 90s, and early 2000's absolutely knew they had parental rights and expected communication abt their children.
@paolodebuono
@YRDSB
@YCDSB
@ElizabethCrowe_
@yorkprideca
Paolo expresses foolish thoughts about symbols.
I used to attend Bayview Secondary in YRDSB. We flew one flag. Everyone include a variety of ethnic minorities and gays were welcome. We didn't need to fly a variety of flags or symbols.
@AndyBrookeLmstn
Andy, he's truly an evil narcissist. Canada is going down a road where making a U-Turn is gonna be very difficult - but the direction it's going is even worse than the difficulty of the U-Turn.
It's very long article.. most won't read it; that's okay. But I had to write it, and I could write so much more. Beans was such a special companion.
Beans - March 30, 2011 - April 21, 2024
@PaulDBrant
The article is wrong. Between Oct 2022 and May 2023, precipitation in Greece where my and other olive groves are located, was pretty much normal. NO drought.
It Hardly EVER rains from May to October in ANY year.
The article is just plain garbage wrong. I'm here. I know.
