It's no surprise that Pierre Poilievre and his Conservatives want to cut jobs. But what is surprising is that Mark Carney has now proposed cutting jobs. Workers are already losing their jobs because of Donald Trump’s threats. The last thing we need right now is more job losses.

Gaza belongs to Palestine — and no one else. Trump's threats are utter madness. They violate every international law. Destabilize the region. Threaten the ceasefire. Canada must stand up to this forcefully. Gaza is not for sale, it belongs to Palestinians.

I'm very saddened to hear about the passing of His Highness the Aga Khan. Today is a very hard day for Ismaili Muslims - including in my riding of Burnaby South, home to a large Ismaili community. His Highness the Aga Khan leaves behind an immense legacy of kindness, generosity, and humanitarianism. I send my deepest condolences to his family and Ismaili Muslims in Canada and around the word.

La pause des tarifs, c’est une bonne nouvelle pour le Canada et les travailleuses et travailleurs canadiens. Ça montre que tenir tête aux menaces de Donald Trump, ça fonctionne. Mais ses menaces ne s’arrêteront pas. Il faut rendre notre économie moins dépendante d’alliés peu fiables. Il faut acheter canadien et bâtir canadien pour créer de bons emplois ici.
