Increase in population, extreme pollution and our inability to keep the retail outlets free of rodents and dust is what limits us from having this in all rural/smaller setups. The day this happens in neighbourhood groceries - whether they're delivering directly to customers or through quick commerce gig workers, we'd be seeing a great deal of normalisation in terms of use of plastic.

A great way of selling groceries. I remember our friendly neighbourhood grocery store would have something similar (if not so sophisticated) before the influx of printed plastic wrappers or covers.

@vishuguttal Wouldn’t mind carrying containers for oil even now (we get oil in designated steel containers each time - just refills)

@SandeepHegde True. And they’ve become less friendly compared to those days, if I’m not wrong :-)

Shitty floodlights in the Gaddafi stadium led to this blow to Rachin Ravindra’s forehead. This is life threatening. Players should boycott playing here

True. We may come across some evidence if we go through the archives and do some research - I remember reading this in some book (was it Dharmpal's book? I don't recall). I've heard farmers mention this. Farmers in Chitradurga and Tumkur have many stories of not just British, but also Indian government targeting specific trees for various reasons. Just few decades ago, Boswellia serrata (Dhoopada mara) was mindlessly cut down by an order. I was trying to find a copy of that order - but it's quite time consuming. Farmers tell me on how the tree vanished completely from their surroundings. It is nowhere to be found now in these two districts except for just one pocket where forest fire has been threatening their existence.

@yajurveda_hari Around Feb, they shed leaves fully and almost play dead. By the onset of Vasanta masa, there'll be flowers.
