Well for starters one of those studies says "In Israel", the other study is a different year. Furthermore though, as was stated, large census studies like this are always estimates and its extremely hard to quantify. "Does someone whose family fled before count? Escapees? etc

Look...as much as Israel should be shunned, this is a fucked up thing to say. Indigenous Americans still face far higher mortality/alcoholism/mental health/lack of healthcare rates than the rest of population and still have not got their land back and are discriminated against.

I'd add that part of the reason for Israels violent rhetoric is the "us or them" mentality developed from Holocaust trauma. If the holocaust didn't happen I think Israel would not have its current support. However, the leftist Jews (myself included) in the US slowly understand.
