This kind of language shift is the result of sustained pressure from the Palestinian-led anti-war movement. But we need a permanent ceasefire and policy change, including halting weapons and ending funding to the Israeli military. Keep the pressure on. The cracks are showing.
What we are seeing every day in Gaza is devastating. As we’ve said, there is a deal on the table that includes a 6-week ceasefire, which would get hostages out and aid in. Hamas needs to accept it.
