@ProfLAppleby It's not helped by the only services available to people in crisis setting parameters which indicate they are unsuitable for these groups. If current provision isn't appropriate - then need to invest in something that is.

Great to see this - had a really interesting conversation with an acute service lead who said they considered the tech and decided that there wasn't good evidence that it would positively contribute to safety and may give false sense of security - so they decided against.
The @MentalHealthPRU has published a systematic review on surveillance technologies in inpatient mental healthcare settings. In this thread, my colleague Dr Jess Griffiths and I will outline the study and the main results and implications. 1/7
