I think the flaw is teaching from a pov where you're putting women on a pedestal and inadvertently reinforcing the gender roles
basic example would be instead of "learn to treat women nice" rather go by "learn to treat everybody nice"
As someone who used to tutor young boys and mentored them as well, doing your best to teach your son about equality and equity and how to be nice and trying to make him feminist has the reverse effect because one bad situation with a girl will fuck that up.
