Y’all the White Sox gave me a swag bag with an autographed Carlos Rodon ball and a sweet note from La Russa!! How friggin cool

- I’m forever grateful 🖤❤️
As part of my PTSD therapy, I am going to start sharing some of the things I saw and did during my 9/11 response. It is horrific but people need to know about it. It might be too emotional for some of you so please don’t read the thread if you think it might be upsetting.
I got some disturbing test results from my new rheumatologist today. I find out on the 31st what the next steps are but it’s not good. Prayers are appreciated 🙏🏽❤️
I heard from my surgeon and my tumor was not cancerous 🙌🏼 However it was an extremely rare type of adrenal tumor, a pheochromocytoma, which can cause dangerous health problems. It would’ve had to come out regardless so overall great news 😁
My adrenal gland tumor has grown & changed shape. Every test has been done & they can’t say it’s cancer or not cancer. I’m having it removed next month & they’ll biopsy it. Adrenal cancer is rare but not in 911 responders. It’s been a long day & I’m emotionally spent. Love y’all
Surgery went well. The tumor and adrenal gland are both out and she said it doesn’t look cancerous. I’ll know for sure in 5-7 days. I’m finally in a room and will be able to go home tomorrow. Thank god because I’m already bored!
Who else remembers? Our parents kicked us out of the house in the summer and told us not to come back in until it was dark. They had to be reminded they had kids

Tomorrow is Mom’s first birthday since her passing. I made reservations for me and Dad at her favorite restaurant and I’m going to drop off flowers early to surprise Dad. I’m going to need many boxes of Kleenex!
Today is going to be rough, I ain’t gonna lie. I might lay low or I might just tweet all day. I just need to process what this day signifies and how I’m sick because of it. Love and hugs to everyone who was touched by it

12 days after my full knee replacement and the swelling is almost gone, I don’t need the walker or cane anymore, and I was able to do some exercises on the bike in PT today ❤️🙌🏼😄
I’ve been sitting with Mom reading her all of your comments in case she can hear. My Dad was so touched by the outpouring of love from y’all. Her lungs have filled with fluid so I’m afraid I’ve only got a few more days with her. Love all of you ❤️😘
On this date, 20 years ago, I was a fresh faced newb and tomorrow I retire from the greatest job on the planet. Words can’t express how I feel right now. Bittersweet.
I would like to take a moment to thank all of you who have reached out to me and let you know that your comments have meant the world to me. I am truly humbled and blessed by your support. Truly amazing people each and every one of you ❤️❤️
Been cooking since 10 and am finally done! I made beef BBQ, brisket, cornbread, deviled eggs, squash casserole, Mac n cheese, and southern green beans. I even made homemade BBQ sauce 🙌🏼 I’m making plates for the area homeless because they deserve a home cooked meal
Y’all please lift my Dad up. I don’t want to say what is going on until after he sees his oncologist Tuesday and hears the results of his bone marrow test. He’s so frail and it’s heartbreaking to see 😭
I’m so angry right now. It is beyond insulting how us 9/11 responders who are sick are being treated. It’s been averaging 3+ years to get approval to be treated for 9/11 related illnesses. 3 years! Shameful.
Jon Stewart: "What an incredible metaphor this room is for the entire process that getting healthcare and benefits for 9/11 first responders has come to. Behind me, a filled room of 9/11 first responders—and in front of me, a nearly empty Congress."
Thank you to everyone checking on me. The tornado passed about a mile south of my house. My family and Freyja are all okay. I’ll find out in a bit if my house is okay. Love y’all ❤️❤️
If you’re wondering if keto is healthy, in 3 months I’ve lost 25 pounds and my bloodwork results just came in. My cholesterol is perfect and my iron, calcium, vitamin D and B12 levels are back in the normal range for the first time in over 5 years 🙌🏼
So apparently I’ve been walking all over Chicago with tears in both ass cheeks of my jeans and had no idea until my friend pointed it out as we were leaving the game 🤣🤣 Mortified! They are the only jeans I brought 😳 I swear the weirdest shit happens to me 😂😂
I’ve been getting a lot of texts and calls his morning so I’m just going to let everyone know that yes I felt the explosion (I’m only a few miles away) and yes I’m okay. I’m shocked and saddened to see this happen to my city

As 9/11 gets closer and my CPTSD flares up more and more, sometimes I get super agitated and say not so nice things even though I don’t mean them. I just ask for your patience and understanding until I get past Friday. Love and light y’all ❤️❤️
My puppy is the one on the right. shes a Brussels Griffon and I’ve named her Freyja (pronounced Frey-ah) after the Norse goddess because my ancestors were Vikings and it’s a beautiful name. I get to meet her Monday ❤️ There will be tons of pics once I get her here 😊
Y’all know I don’t share much about the traumatic things I’ve seen and done but I’m hoping by doing so I can help others. I suffer from severe PTSD and am finally ready to admit it. I’m starting with a therapist in a week who specializes in it 🙏🏽❤️
