@craigyMallee There's nothing on the forecasts down here except one massively experimental European mob - but I get the same vibe here - loads of ants, currawongs are warbling - be interesting to see if the wildlife is onto something before the BOM!

@becsta1984 @Nel_farms We haven't had anywhere near the rain you have but it's probably more concering than double the total and then the normal clearing SW change with cool dry winds. Looks like Qld Sth set to continue for at least another six days....

@FarmerTonyWhite @grdc Gee I dunno Tony - that's shit for you but there were barley crops here that had 250mm plus on them as they were ripe last year and still ended up as a deliverable product - definitely been improvements - and the ones that sprout with 15mm on them are soon out the window.

@dyerjonathan Good one - fleshes out the point that's really hard to impress on people without them seeing it - that sometimes heavily nasty chemicals are part of the best enviromental solution

@Davelennonabc @EnergyAustralia @EmmaKealyMP Yeah - it would require quite a cost to switch from both hot water service and cooking but at least the electricity market you can vote with your feet - I'm the same - the energy compare thing has been fantastic and saved heaps on elec.

@NMFCOfficial Well done guys - this is great proactive stuff - building a secure base for the future - the club has done amazingly to remain in the black during such a bleak onfield period.

Seems like the airline carriers have set up the perfect business model - socialise the losses during COVID and privatise their OTT profits after forcing minor players like Rex out. Was the right move to bail Qantas out but should've come with strings attached.

@RuralViewAu @IamRebekahLowe To paraphrase the Simpsons I was not so much amazed as blinded by rage. But they care a lot about country Victoria, just see all the investment in those tiny communities like Ballarat and Bendigo.

@pyretta_b I need very little encouragement to spruik the Princeland proposal! I wrote an article during COVID on it as a bit of a joke, but the way things have gone we might get our own Prince Leonard of Hutt moment
