@James_Stacey_ @percytonfarmer Had any injuries, deaths or stuck sheep with them? Haven’t had good experiences with hay feeders and sheep/lambs.

@WheatWatcher Other - same issues as the rest of the country. Higher cost of living through pushing things like their reckless path to renewables, government reckless spending, inflation, higher and more taxes (particularly on business) and more government red tape in our lives.

@LFelmingham That’s terrible Luke! So frustrating! Such a massive investment in your business not working for you and instead costing you time and lost income. I hope the manufacturer and dealers understand the loss you are and have been facing!! spend that amount of $ u expect it to work!!

And we want to cover our Country side with these as a ‘clean green’ solution.

The world's largest lithium ion battery facility, located at California's Moss Landing fossil power plant, has gone up in flames, prompting local authorities to issue an evacuation order. Article link in reply. The smoke from the fire may pose a significant health threat; lithium being toxic. I wonder if this release will be treated anything like nuclear facility releases. Researchers flocking to the area to look for long-term health effects. Long-term longitudinal studies, etc.. If you don't find any effects, keep looking! (There is a strong pre-conceived assumption that radioactive releases have large health impacts.) FYI, scientists have not found any measurable health impacts from Fukushima... So, will long term local health impacts be studied? Don't hold your breath, it's not "nuclear"! Case in point, a huge oil refinery near Tokyo burned to the ground during the 2011 earthquake. Lots of toxic materials released. And yet, I'm unaware of any studies being performed to determine local public health effects, short-term or long-term. Double standard? You bet! Interesting quote from the article: "Safety concerns fueled a ballot measure last year further down the coast in Morro Bay aimed at blocking Vistra from getting local permits to construct a battery facility near a power plant there. The measure passed in November, but will do little to stop the project, which is instead going through a fast-tracked state permitting process." This heavy-handed approach by CA is needed because large-scale lithium-ion battery storage is necessary to backup intermittent solar and wind generation; sources that CA is relying on to meet its climate goals. Can't have local NIMBYs get in the way. I wonder if (also non-emitting, non-intermittent) nuclear could get in on that (similar policies for nuclear plants or waste storage/disposal facilities)! What this whole episode shows is that there is no such thing as a perfect, completely clean (or risk-free) energy source. DoE Secretary nominee Chris Wright said as much in his confirmation hearing. He's right.

@BenmorrisMorris @tfarmsllc We have sown into it before with disc. It is doable. Hair pinning an issue. But too much material on ground for flood irrigation.

@John_R_Bruce @GribbleRC I have had this thought but have concerns of what will actually establish and grow once the mass of material is dumped on ground after harvest.

@consettfarming It’s wild stuff to bale from my understanding and unless there is a serious drought I don’t think it has a market.

@GribbleRC We have had contractor with chopper on front and leaves low near cut hight but you still have a mat of 10t/ha plus dry matter on soil surface which is difficult to get a crop or pasture established in and holds up too much water flood irrigating.

@James_Stacey_ Either way your not going to hear many negative stories, my understanding is most contracts stipulate you can’t complain about turbines or speak negatively about developer/operator.

@James_Stacey_ Takes a lot of control of your greatest asset away from land holder too. Not sure how that sits with succession. Be interesting to see how it it all pans out in 15 plus years.
