An elite hospital, a block away from the Empire State building in Manhattan is able to exploit a legal loophole to get re-classified itself as a “rural referral hospital”. With such re-classification, the hospital is able to receive higher reimbursement rates and more federal funding through medicare, Medicaid, and 340B programs. Do we need @DOGE intervention into healthcare?
Tax-exempt @NYULangone’s $8 million Super Bowl ad caught my eye, and I have questions. I’m asking the hospital system about the millions in taxpayer revenue and subsidies they receive (340B, DSH, GME, etc.) and how Super Bowl ads further their nonprofit mission to care for patients.
