However, I would not make a lexical issue. In common language “subpleural”means “small peripheral”, that is “only visible immediately below the pleura” and not extended in depth. I would be less rigid with words.

@lungultrasound in the new definition of ARDS I appreciate the novelty. However, “bilateral opacities” is a radiologic language of unknown meaning for LUS. Moreover, a “well trained operator” is more needed for CXR than for LUS.

@YukiKotani5 @nickmmark @FOAMecmo @iceman_ex @Manu_Malbrain @icmteaching @eddyjoemd @PulmCrit @msiuba @otavio_ranzani @Paul_Wischmeyer I appreciate the novelty. However, I don’t know what “bilateral opacities” means in LUS. It is radiologic language. Moreover, it is funny that they specify the need for a “well trained operator”, that is more needed for CXR reading than for LUS.

The importance of PoCUS in simple daily affairs: this patient was in the ED for constipation and abdominal tension from 4 days, having consulted several physicians. No pain at all. 5 mins to diagnosis and decision for double j-stent. What without PoCUS?
