Just wanted to share my latest piece with those who are interested. This came out today in Apparition Lit, who I'm thrilled to publish with :) (there was a prompt that had to be in there - it was "soup")

Available free, my microfiction in Stupefying Stories today. Had to use the prompt "The off-season" somewhere in the story.

@GracefulEase I think this story is lacking the happy ending from the original Goldilocks story 😄

@stevehillwriter maybe we've all missed the point and it's actually a protest against tomato soup...

@McphersonWrites if that cover is meant to make me stop scrolling. Blow it up to look at it. Read your profile. Go to your web page. Check out the Kickstarter and your other books. Then... mission accomplished!

@KavalAuthorActs top left light blue. Honestly you could use any. They all look more professional than mine ever do. But top right red may be too serious. great job!

@ernie_fink #WriteChat A3: Reading someone else's work. Usually gets me enthused again for books and genre and then I want to write again

@ernie_fink #WriteChat A2: pen. But if I ever want to actually use the writing, it has to be keyboard. I'm too lazy to type out something I've written. Besides. I can't read my own handwriting.

@ernie_fink #WriteChat A1: Oh dear. This is bad. This question makes me realize I should get a new chair. I just use my work desk chair. Ergonomically fine. Psychologically challenging. And over-used. I'm sure it would be better for my body to have something different sometimes

@ernie_fink A4: Some sentences just sound better when the infinitive is split. I know I'll burn in hell for that opinion, but I stand by it. #WriteChat

@ernie_fink A3: Never thought to do it. I guess v. briefly in dialogue. There are some words I consistently mistype tho. I get Should correct, but Shoulder comes out as Shoudler every time. #WriteChat

@ernie_fink q2: I often do, but I will say commas are the grammatical/punctuation point I find hardest. I put them where they should not be and don't where they should #writechat

@ernie_fink I tend to agree with only to use said, except in rare occasions. Every rule has exceptions. But I think this rule does not work for audiobooks. There I find said is 'visible' and the repetition is grating. But we don't write the text and audio differently. Maybe we should
