The bill makes noise & ‘impact’ a reason to stop protests. It’s left completely open to discretion.
And let’s not forget what happened under covid regs when it was left up to discretion - a socially-distanced vigil was banned, then over-policed & we saw last night’s scenes.
FWIW new crime bill only changes law around protests that have “significant disruptive effect on the public”.
Nothing to do with peaceful gatherings we saw last night.
