Plus I'm aware I can still carry the virus and pass it on to others.

Yup my income is higher, I pay more tax, take home pay higher, can pay my bills and have good facilities here in Germany. In UK as an experienced teacher I was living paycheck to paycheck in a tiny apartment. I also work less hours now..in a career I'm not experienced in.

I live in Germany and teach English and the amount of my students who still ask "HOW?" He became prime minister is astonishing. Have also had comments all summer about Truss and how awful she is. The Germans I know are baffled.

Interesting. I live in Germany and had my first in March and have had my booster already at age 33/34. My boyfriend is 28 and similar. I had all mine before my 61 year old mum in the UK.

Also many companies have organised their staff into teams...so that one team is in the office for 1 or 2 weeks while the other team(s) work at home. Then if the virus gets in, only one team is affected and work can continue with another team. It's so simple.

My German friend who has been living in London for 3.5 years is a trained infectious diseases doctor. NHS wouldn't allow her to help because not registered with BMC ans BMC wouldn't fast track application. So she flew back to germany and is helping here.

I sat with 2 colleagues today (we are all British and have been in Germany for 2 years or less) and we just feel so crap and forgotten. We know Germany will allow us to stay but we don't know terms. Frankly it's depressing. We've all struggled with our mental health because of it
