Been using SQLite in production for a year to manage a critical task scheduling subsystem.
10K op/s (in and out) with 1 CPU, 3GB RAM & strong consistency with a cheap SSD.
Deployed once, never had to touch it again. SQLite on prod is fantastic!
I don't get it. Why does SQLite (in production) have such a bad rep?

I've just finished to develop a video compression format whose decompressor can run on a small microcontroller. Uses half a kilo of RAM max, and almost no CPU overhead. Constraint is that frames need to be "chromatically simple" (no photos).
