i value what balaji does. i think viciously stress testing classes of authority is a net good for society. it's tumultuous and sometimes results in overcorrection, but what comes out from the ashes is often better than the previous version

Imagine having all three. What a thing it would be
building an audience—whether it’s one person or millions is one of the hardest things a human can do. most people never get past the noise floor because they don’t have anything compelling to say or they can’t deliver it in a way that resonates. the few who succeed usually either have insane charisma, relentless persistence, or a unique insight into the desires of others.

@SpencrGreenberg counterpoint is that people who blindly use AI to create arguments are not the people who are convinced by proper true arguments in the first place. it's all emotional and they now have a veneer that can easily peel off

@deepfates a friend of mine (incredibly smart guy, oxford graduate) to train his forecasting skills on these platforms i never asked the specific reason but he used to apply for many EA-related job openings so i assumed it was to get better at risk forecasting
