fwiw i consider modern country's self-conscious posturing about drinking beer and driving trucks to be very much in harmony with the entire lineage, although ofc a lot of it is not good lyricism, trends straight novelty

@babarganesh i mean, it depends a lot on the circle, but i definitely don't like a lot of the things that people in her circles like (really the things that make up the core of their common identity)

the moral of this thread is that sometimes you can reinvent things from first principles in order to arrive at obvious wisdom, but it was ultimately the journey that mattered
