@100yenloli since when was hard drop allowed in any%? when was customizable piece handling and 0f arr allowed? when was 180 rotation allowed? we tend to forget that we've gone through so many changes in modern tetris so this playstyle isn't any different

@FugEbinMeme since this is a huge time reduction compared to your previous pb (22 sec?), I suggest you post a handcam to prove your legitimacy I haven't established any guidelines with handcam verification but I think it's highly recommended, once you get that the any% 40L sprint wr is yours

alright now that the controversy is settling down I'm gonna establish some guidelines and some general things for 1kf sprint and guideline sprint, which are now separate categories (THIS IS NOT 1KF PROPAGANDA I PROMISE)

@joe_hanam I'm talking about tetris as a whole, not just guideline tetris the original objective of tetris is literally to score for points with the tetrominoes you get in a 10 wide board. 40L sprint is just another category within tetris

@J4misonOnYT exactly so I'm tryna establish some clear boundaries between 1 key and guideline so even if it's not counted as overall wr, it's still acknowledged

@ducklife4player set seed doesn't count, 1kf does. why? it's because tetris at the most basic level is to place blocks to clear lines with a randomized set of pieces there were never guidelines for the movement of pieces but the most beginner friendly controls are just the ones we've adopted

and overall doesn't refer to in individual categories in modern, but across ALL of tetris again I'm okay with 1kf being a separate category for now results from this poll aren't gonna discourage me from breaking more records with 1 key ‼️‼️‼️

@irojeh1 @frey_tetris less skillful? so why do stenographers / court reporters have to study for years to reach the elusive 225 words per minute speeds, and why do they also drop out 90+% of the time? don't think you're guaranteed a record with 1kf because you're just brushing the tip of the iceberg

@CometPopcorn I never said 1kf and guideline runs should be in the same category, in fact I support that until the community can come to a solid conclusion about this but I believe it's still the overall wr, 13.356 < 13.43, numbers don't lie

@CometPopcorn if you don't have 1kf experience how can you compare this to using guideline controls try it out for a week and let me know what you think
