@TexasAFT's goal was never about securing raises for Texas teachers.... Capo said so himself..... Houston Chronicle, 2023: Zeph Capo, president of the Texas American Federation of Teachers, said teachers will view the session as ultimately unfavorable if a voucher program is enacted, regardless of whether pay raises or funding hikes are instituted. “We are not interested in having a pyrrhic victory on the pay-raise issue if it means selling out our communities,” he said. “There’s no deal (to be made) on trying to pair those things together."
