As for Macron, he didn’t complety lose his gamble but he is not the master of the developments to come. Expect from him some kind of “above the parties” and arbitrate positioning - the refuge of weakened presidents.

In any case, we'll witness French politicians trying to do what other Europeans do: try to form a government based on a voters' choice that they do not like. But they have never tried to do that and will most probably struggle to learn. A bumpy summer ahead. 5/end
