I hope you are right about most PAs not wanting this because there does seem to be a sub group of PAs, however small, that do. I didn’t believe it myself until a PA introduced themselves to me as “one of the doctors” recently. For everyone’s sake, this needs nipping in the bud.

I can see the fire in

on the industrial estate from quite a clear vantage point in Brackla. It’s massive, the smoke is horrendous and I’m grateful to our emergency services for the long night ahead of them. Hoping everyone is safe and remains safe 🙏

Say we pay care workers £15ph (and we absolutely should, this is not an argument against that at all) it still won’t be enough to persuade them into long-term careers in it. This is emotionally & physically draining work, once staff are done, they don’t come back.

Today we say goodbye to a wonderful family man. A former coal miner, fireman for the Garw valley and later a welsh water worker and a renowned trade unionist. Married to my Nan for 63 years. Rest in peace Grampy.
