@meganbang3 To those saying 'if no alternations was the rule, then nothing unfair happened' please recognize that rules are not inherently neutral. "Traditional" is not neutral. Excluding cultural and personality signals is a choice. Enforcing plainess and uniformity is a choice.

@yuhline I noticed a lady walking down my mom's street clearly confused, kept changing directions, gait off. She wasn't able to converse well but I offered water & snack and she said yes and downed both. Even if it was 'just' drugs she was better off with food & water, clearly needed them.

@RNmarika @laubaiwri @RosieESchofield I nearly murdered a pain specialist I went to in excruciating pain following a car crash who brought up "ideal weight" re: damaged disc facets. Pretty sure the 10+Gs in crash wrecked my back, not an 'extra' 12lbs🙄 . He also said he couldn't do anything about aging - I was 28!.

It was heartwarming to find out my small act of kindness had an impact and that not only was the recipient doing OK, but they are actually kind of a big deal and still a fearless badass. So thank you (old) twitter for making this happen🥰. @IanColdwater

@erikbryn I also don't jump to conclusions about things posted on the interwebs, so I did some photoshop overlays to test for myself. Check it out fellow skeptics 🤓. [Initially lines covered up. Fade in bkrd. Then fade out lines' cover-up. Quick w/ random opacity %s so not smooth]

@AnLasair @kevdog @hayche_pylori Also the f--k shouldn't patients know about their conditions and something as basic and easily available as interactions for medications you take?!? Doctors arent able to manage health comprehensively, the system isn't even built for that, so why shouldn't patients!? Grr.

@meganbang3 I would love to just move on from the antiquated grad gowns, now using nasty overpriced disposable materials, and let people dress up however they wish. The idea of pretending we're all snobbing WASPs is outdated and unattractive IMO, and our bank statements don't fool anyone😆.

@seaweedanxiety @twinkhoncreole I don't think so because he's not paying for it, if anything could be fraud by Twitter trying to claim his videos are getting views when third parties are paying ( or x giving it to them for free?) to put it in your feed. Either way shady.

@jdsamson @myrabatchelder Thanks for sharing, it validates my concern. I still mask outside when socializing even tho I know it seems wacky to others. Unless there's a stiff breeze I figure air is still around, as someone super sensitive to smoke I'm more aware of outdoor air dynamics than most, lol.

@techevangelista @the_tweedy Yup, I want to be able to just screen for this: "If I bring my history as a very well written 2 page summary will you go "oh great!" Or refuse to read it b/c me reciting stuff off the top of my head for you to promptly ignore is for some reason your birthright?.

@jzaraterod @deray Rich person spending money frivolously isn't the cause of the lack of funding for everyone else's medical care. If they're going to spend money frivolously, spending it on explorative medical stuff isn't the worst use. Will yield data that can be used to help others.

@PleaseBeGneiss @robertrjs32 The columns are huge, can't see to the sides in front or back and it sits low so no one sees you, nearly killed pretty much everytime I took a Prius Zipcar on the MassPike.

@Jenfeds73 @FunFactsLulu Ugh. My advice is always to try to 📷 moments of lightness and joy - focusing on a map, mesmerized at aquarium, clowning around, etc, instead of "cheese". I think alot is parents would say they never look joyful, or even never *are* joyful. In which case reflect on that, eh?.

That day @thinkingpoker and I were headed back to Chicago from a short trip. It was hot & hectic. Bus was late & overbooked. But we got a spot. Soon there was only 1 seat left & it was next to us on a weird bench in back. A parent & toddler got on & driver told them to double up.

@vermilionsquad @Travon Yup, and panicking is an innate response when put under extreme stress / cornered / pinned down. So tired of approaches that pretend to expect calm cooperation after triggering panic instincts to fight/flight/freeze. Even freeze gets you killed for not 'complying' fast enuf, ffs.

@sashaperigo It's wild rental units aren't inspected before offering and surprise visits the same way restaurants are. Like why is a rodent access flaw not an automatic large fine rather than something I have to raise and debate as though it's a personal issue?.

@_Queen_Ash_12 @phoenixashes199 @snegosaur The underlying attitude that a child is a problem needing to be harmed into compliance will remain regardless of tactics utilized that's still bad news in my book.

@FionasWriting @pjnichols This and also when fully embodied it can be a form of disassociation due to trauma. Kids who are struggling need kindness and care, not derision and hate. Validating for a moment doesn't mean others agree they're a cat, it's just psych 101, about which these ppl have no clue.

@mathewleutwyler @MrOlmos He straight up says they're having a vigil, and then says they need to be present b/c antifa will "hijack" the vigil. Why do you care who speaks?. Lastly, even if there was looting, which is totally diff than vigil, call the police. You can't just declare yourself police?.

@bassoonapillar @realgirl_fieri This makes sense but fyi leftovers really are higher in (micro) mold & have high histamine levels, so if you have a histamine or mold sensitivity this instinct could actually be from physiological place, not just psychological.

@rachelgoes262 @BeingCharisBlog Happy to help put them on blast if you're comfortable naming them. Maybe a portal message could reach doc directly if you think staff was rogue? At the least it puts a report in writing. I get it if you don't feel like dealing with it, but if you do let us know 💪.

@danaparish @deray A realtor said to us, perplexed / bullying about our insistence on masks "you're young, look like you eat well, work out, you seem healthy". "yeah well, want to keep it that way!" I replied. ( Which isn't the full story but easiest way to box her in and drop convo ).

@RammahaSahar It's because they are welcoming you into the fraternity, so existing members welcome new ones. But I agree that feels a bit ick at this point, time to redesign. You're completing a major milestone and joining a profession, not joining the old boys club.

@magpiekilljoy Eating food fuels your internal stay warm system, so having extra calories around is a good idea, doesn't need to be fancy dedicated emergency food, just get some extra shelf stable items you'll actually eat - tuna, chips, crackers, Snickers : ) and then replace extras as used.

@JohnSmi48253239 @kennedytcooper @snazzybananas This is such a weird and confusing account. "A crew? They "dropped their belongings". If people are coming to harm you they don't bring stuff?. Either standard break in and had nothing to do with him being rw or they were just at wrong house and this dude just starts firing?

@Phil_Lewis_ The police are the worst here, but the airline trespassed her because she missed her flight? due to a gate change she wasn't notified of? and then was upset and wanting to get a flight?. Even if that description is overly kind to her, people shouldn't be arrested for being upset.

@mairi_park @MrOlmos Mairi you live in Canada. Please, anger and fear-stoking disinformation aren't a good use of your free time. These right-wing grifters you're staning are in it only for themselves, they don't care about you or your "contribution" towards their twisted discourse.

@1goodtern I'm upset about climate crisis but I don't personally find it offensive that they're taking photos at the photo-taking-display at the place that's famous for being really hot. Now if it's fossil fuel execs or like rich people flying private to see it. .

@Zer0Books @DJROE95 @KitGonzo Correct, "free speech" applies to not going to prison or bring killed for saying things. It *doesn't* mean people can't say your opinion is wrong, that they're mad at you, or that if you want people to like you, you should stop saying it. Free market research, if you will.

@1SarahJaneSmith I hate that we have to fight docs on top of everything else! Grr😠. And like, a doctor's appointment stinks anyway! It's not like if you just didn't have a mask it'd be a fun time🌴🍸🎉. I don't understand why they push so hard over something with such a small cost & big benefit.

@shefalil Ugh, bringing your own food is the opposite of foisting your needs on others!. You're relieving the host of any obligation to know and follow your restrictions by meeting your own needs. You're also not making anyone else miss out just because you can't have something.

@TheMcKenziest I think this is statistical artifact skewed largely by so few being tested. If only hospital and nursing home patients are tested then I'd expect this number to make sense. Tho often when people compare covid to flu, the "flu" number is similarly sicker folks that are tested.

@PRPAREXCEL Ugh, literally nothing about the virus is changing May 12! I don't see how this is an evidence-based decision or a legally defensible one. And wth on not being able to even ask for masks?!? 🤬. Bare min HCW should mask for masking patients & masks + HEPA when patient can't mask.

@LBitter @KFILE @mkraju @SenMcSallyAZ @MarthaMcSally I worked for McCain but now we have to support Dems as long as Trump and his minions are calling the shots. @jbfan911 It's also like $40k in 2007 dollars, people don't realize how hard inflation hits and base their sense of a decent salary on when they started out. Also if you're in a rent controlled unit, shared or not, your costs are wildly off from people who have to pay market rent.

@Leighbra @DaddysDizzySoul @aagurza Or like maybe they need bike-box like carriers that they strap the chair in and then it's attached to a particular part of the hold, or has a cubby or such. Plenty of time to actually design a solution, but they just don't.

@DamienPatrick @CBSEveningNews nope, mentally disturbed person. Made 0 attempt to disguise his identity, didn't even do much damage, obviously doesn't look like he's taking good care of himself. But I guess that doesn't fit your agenda so you ignore what's super obvious if you look at it objectively.

@margaretforreal @keetmuise I def wouldn't have the wherewithall but I feel like the response there is, "bwhat? My taking precautions isn't about you?!? But if it causes you to feel judged or upset, maybe you're not confident in your choice to go without? That's something you need to process yourself.".

@EpiEllie Yup. You don't crash every time you drink and drive, but it adds huge risk to the pool. It took a huge effort by MADD to get people to stop defending that they were fine because 'I'm not that drunk', or 'everybody does it' 'no other options' 'roads are empty at this hour' etcetc.

@heathertal @KendraWrites I know this isn't your call, but please lobby for no paywall on virus articles. Lots of good info isn't being seen and lots of junk is readily available for free. Many people who can't afford to stay home from work, are older, etc, can't afford newspaper subscriptions.
