Our vast, sweeping region is full of serenity & beauty. We deserve protection, not more walls & destruction.

Today I walked to the southern terminus of the 800-mile Arizona Trail to find a half-finished monument to white supremacy sullying this once-spectacular view.
Construction crews packed up & left this week following the

order, but this obscene scar across the land remains.

Border wall construction uprooted and destroyed thousands of saguaros & other native cacti in Arizona. Most of the ~100 that CBP tried to transplant died within months.
It's illegal to harm a saguaro in Arizona. CBP should not be immune to prosecution.
