It's not just about one person, it's about the team around him that allowed it to happen, it's about the clinical governance mess that allowed it to happen, it's about the oversight organisations that were ineffective (HSE, HIS, GMC, RCS…) &c

But, before that, how about we sort out failures in clinical governance and oversight up-to and including the Scottish Government - we must have a Public Inquiry to look at the issues behind Eljamel and those that enabled him to harm over a 100 patients so it cannot happen again.

A new constitution could safeguard an NHS that is free at the point of need.

Thanks Marion, certainly Pelvic Mesh and the Infected Blood Public Inquiries are definitely something we support and look up to in terms of the need for PI for us. We think folk forget that it's not just about patients already harmed but also stopping further harm to the public

Pelvic mesh got 10,000 signatures for a Scot parly inquiry with jurno Marion Scots help. Not sure but is there a mechanism where the public can demand a PI. Am sure folk would help by signing. Keep going cause PI is the only way to get some truth everything else is a whitewash.

I was harmed by Eljamel in 2013. He carried out brain surgery. Was made to believe I was unlucky when it went wrong! Had to have 3 more operations by him in 2013. I have had multiple surgeries since to correct.
