That’s a great example where masks ARE indicated. Masking speech delayed toddlers is a great example of where masks are NOT indicated. This may be difficult to understand, but just because something is appropriate in one situation, does not make it appropriate in every situation.

. Diversity and meritocracy are not mutually exclusive ideas. The trouble comes when you prioritize diversity at the expense of merit. In medicine, and in every field, when you prioritize merit, it results in more positive outcomes across the board.
If you prioritize diversity, you lose merit. But if you prioritize merit, you'll often get diversity too.
