My money's on David Begg.
Ceann Comhairle Verona Murphy has proposed outside mediation to resolve the ongoing row over Dáil speaking time for pro-government Regional Independent TDs. That has kicked yet ANOTHER row at the Dáil Reform Committee - which gathered in person today hoping to settle the matter

@Cballantine It's also hilarious that these mandatory symbols are becoming more frequent while it's banned to raise the flag of Palestine. The perfect commodification and regulation of protest.

@fallon_donal @MarkLucan1 I used to think that was a bit arbitrary but in fact it just maintains the idea that one persons vote should be used again and again until it really is of use. It is Hourigans vote and that's what is being moved around. Gannon didn't in his own right actually get a surplus.

Ignoring the poor analysis, it is worth taking note of how renting correlates pretty strongly with countries considered good to live in.
Home ownership in Ireland has converged on the EU average (69%). The main reason it has fallen since peak 30 years ago is because immigrants overwhelming rent, not because home-ownership among nationals has changed a lot.

@conoraon @patmontague @MickGaskin10 Given the candidates involved I'd say the FF transfers will have a fair share for Sherlock. 600 votes isn't a massive gap with all those transfers floating around. Hutch will pick up some from Steenson but not enough to open the gap. My money's on Sherlock.

I mentioned earlier in the week that, three years on, we still haven't managed to get our attic insulated. I worked out that, had I been able to save the carbon tax I pay on gas to heat my draughty house each week, I could have paid for the insulation by now.
Tough day for @greenparty_ie, could be a complete wipe-out. Meanwhile, the #climate crisis deepens by the month. If there are history books in the future, wonder what they’ll make of all this?

@think_or_swim @greenparty_ie What they should make of it is that you can't ask ordinary people to pay for the excesses of the wealthy and call it justice. If you own a five bedroom house it doesn't matter how well-insulated it is, your carbon footprint will always outweigh someone living in a flat.
