Words cannot describe how thankful I am to the amazing NHS staff for the skill care and professionalism shown to me today.
The surgery is curative and I can't believe how well I feel.
Thanks also for all the kind messages and prayers, God has answered them mightily.
I have contacted the Public Prosecution Service and Attorney Generals office today asking for the lenient sentence handed down to Billy Walker to be appealed.
A man in his 50s grooming teenagers is perverse, sickening and unacceptable.
The punishment must be increased
Cringeworthy comments from CBI in NI that there would be no food on the shelves. The bulk of the food on the shelves is produced within the UK.
Embarrassing themselves and scaring people who don’t know the facts.
SF leader states that the Northern Ireland Protocol protects the Good Friday Agreement, but when asked how 4 times on GMU makes no defensible case to back up the assertion.
Embarrassing waffle and obfuscation instead.
SF, SDLP, Alliance and Greens all voted for the rigorous implementation of the Northern Ireland Protocol. The outcome of such to block generic medicines and medical equipment, many parcels, expensive checks on most food.
So much for the outrage about health and cost of living.
So the NIO have persuaded Minister Baker to apologise to RoI over the protocol.
RoI has pressed for the imposition of barriers to NI consumers, driven costs of retail goods higher and used photos from the 70s in a misleading way.
It is the people of NI who need matters put right.
As one of the many families who were denied the the right to show their respects for a precious loved one. I am entirely disgusted at the political decision of the PPS not to prosecute those who defied the same rules in full public view.
Appalling that a professional footballer and supposed role model wears a top glorifying an organisation that murdered thousands and injured tens of thousands.
Michelle O'Neill needs to understand the difference between an attack and being challenged.
It's pretty straightforward, the primary human right we have is the right to life. The failure to condemn the taking of life by any paramilitary organisation should be challenged.
So last week Michelle O'Neill was celebrating gun runner Martin Ferris career.
The same Mr Ferris met Gardai killer and thief Pearse McCauley as he left jail. He is now back in jail for assaulting and stabbing his wife 13 times in three hours of torture.
Alliance Party
The Protocol is a binding international agreement, we need the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement changed.
All in one interview.
Consistency not the strongest point for the Alliance Party.
How can Tesco and Sainsbury justify selling diesel at 186.9, virtually every station in the area is cheaper with one 15 pence per litre cheaper?
Why are the companies with the most buying power charging the most?
It was SF leadership who drove a coach and horses through Covid rules at the Storey funeral, some in the community followed that lead and Covid has spread rapidly.
Do what I say not what I do is not leadership it is arrogance.
Edwin Poots, not for the first time, is speaking with a forked tongue. After agreeing to a collective position in the Executive he is now trying to sectarianise COVID blaming Nationalists and Republicans.
Proud to join the family, friends & comrades of Thomas McElwee 🇮🇪to mark his 42nd anniversary.
“Remember, Thomas was only 23 years old when he died. Despite the adversities that he faced, he was filled with hope & aspiration; ambitious for himself, this community, & the future.”
It has not been the people singing "up the ra" that has annoyed me most, it is the great and good of Irish nationalism being meely mouthed about it.
When the horrific song about Michaela happened Unionists all condemned it, equally we find chants U.U.UVF abhorrent.
@CatharineHoey
DUP MPs were offered a place in the Lords for voting for the Boris Union wrecking Withdrawal Agreement. None of them did.
Two Labour MPs were nominated for the Lords by Boris, guess who they were.
He will be remembered by many more as the vicious murderer who burnt a young woman to death.
There was an alternative to brutally taking the lives of 2,000 people mainly civilians.
It is good that the Government didn't listen to the advice of the Alliance Party on vaccines.
Now they should bin Alliance demands on the rigorous implementation of the Protocol and invoke Article 16.
So Martin is not best pleased, not that somehow he ended up on a stage with microphone in hand while all around him the IRA were being eulogised in song.
Martin is not the victim here, at best he exercised poor judgement, he should properly apologise to the victims of the IRA.
The Northern Ireland Protocol is a political creation to punish the UK for leaving the EU
It is unnecessary to protect the Single Market and no border is required in Ireland or at Irish Sea ports.
The costs to NI consumers when grace periods & Trader Support services will be huge
I support the rights of women to their space sports and to be free from all forms of abuse. Women have the right to protest in order to highlight these rights being infringed and should not be bullied when doing so.
#letwomanspeak
If Sinn Fein think that they will persuade Unionists that all would be well in an united Ireland, by refusing to lightup a building to mark victims of the toubles, or allow the placing of a stone commemorating a historical reality they are delusional.
In consultation with my staff I have decided to withdraw staff from Belfast and Larne ports tonight.
There safety remains paramount.
I have spoke to HMG Ministers and outlined the issues of concern.
I welcome the support of my party leader in making such a significant decision
Sheep stuck in Scotland, shortages of plants, ridiculous burdensome checks on food being demanded for what? I don't see any evidence that it is protecting the single market but plenty of evidence it is damaging the Northern Ireland economy.
Is this up the
Claudy massacre
La Mon Massacre
Enniskillen Massacre
Shankill Massacre
Bloody Friday
The majority of IRA victims were innocent civilians.
Orphan makers
Widow makers
10s of thousands maimed.
Nothing to venerate or celebrate.
Thanks to all for the best wishes received as I step back for some weeks for surgery and recovery.
I do so happily in full knowledge I have overwhelmingly support from the DUP family as expressed in the party statement.
Media have now had it confirmed that my account of meeting that issues raised on problems supplying hospitals, schools and prisons, and empty shelves after 1st April was accurate.
The other parties SF, Alliance, SDLP who accused me of scaremongering are strangely silent today.
For all those offended by my reference to Leo Varadkar being the Republic of Ireland Prime Miinister, I am suitably chastised.
Please forward further complaints to this X account.
I’ve written to Emmanuel Macron & attached the Belfast Agreement with relevant section highlighted.
Evidently key leaders in the EU do not understand the basics let alone the finer details.

🚨Boris Johnson was left infuriated by Macron when he suggested in their talks Northern Ireland was not part of the UK. A UK Government source tells the story below....
Those Parties complaining about the cost of living crisis should be standing with us on the Protocol.
HMG plans to withdraw Trader Support Services at £500m and the ending of grace periods would make NI food the most expensive in the UK for decades.
Following a policing operation in the Stewarts Terrace area of Rosemount in Derry/Londonderry yesterday, detectives from the Terrorism Investigation Unit seized what are believed to be six improvised explosive devices, a quantity of ammunition and a machine pistol.
So grateful to all the wonderful staff who have taken care of me after requiring emergency surgery.
Good to have the technology at hand to get back to work as well.
Climate change legislation consultation document ready to go cleared from today.
So our Secretary of State says he will get money for Casement Park. Shame he isn't prioritising Sure Start, Pathways and other groups providing much needed services.
Wholly inappropriate for Queens University branding to be utilised on such a divisive issue.
Where are the efforts on dealing with the Unionist chill factor that has been evident for years.
Quite remarkable that BBC and UTV have failed to report on this thus far.
I expect they will be shamed into covering an amazing exposure of current SF and IRA activities soon. Better reluctantly late than never.
More from the trial today: Dublin mobster Gerry Hutch was secretly recorded telling an associate: "I told them. I said I can’t wait for this election. I hope the Shinners take over and set up their own hit squad”.
I have authorised the opening of public conveniences in forest/country parks from Monday, also vans selling beverages, ice cream, hot foods will be allowed to operate.
It has been quite remarkable how many people are defending "women's rights", who refuse to recognise the authenticity of a women.
My wife and daughters who all work in health care understand that both lives matter in pregnancy.
Desperate behaviour from Jo Brolly tweeting something patently untrue.
For the record Saint Patrick was British, his teaching aligns closely to my views, so what's not to like.
DUP MLA
@edwinpootsmla
has called for St Patrick to be abolished. “For too long, this so called saint has been used as a sectarian stick to beat the Protestant community. He may have driven the snakes out of Ireland, but what did he ever do for Ulster?”
Younger people who think modern day SF are harmless, need to understand that the current leadership defend not condemn this and eulogise the IRA terrorists who caused misery and mayhem.
#OnThisDay
in 1988 the IRA attempted to murder Ernie Wison, school bus driver/off duty UDR by bomb under his bus which exploded in Lisnaskea, Fermanagh, as he drove children to school. Mr Wilson resuscitated a badly injured schoolgirl in the wreckage

The issues at our ports are a result of the Ireland Northern Ireland protocol supported by SF, SDLP and Alliance Party.
Last week was light touch so will be more difficult in coming weeks.
Great to be back at the Ministerial desk today.
So thankful to be on the right side of treatment, and to the exceptional staff who administered it.
Plenty of work to be done.
Arch separatist, Sinn Fein's Mary-Lou McDonald (🇮🇪) succinctly explains why the Republic of Ireland sucks for young people, forcing them to flee the tiny Statelet on mass
There's no place like home 🇬🇧
It never ceases to amaze me how Republican leaders talk so much about misogyny, but when a Unionist woman says something they don't like, the Republican trolls go into an overdrive of vile, viscous commentary.

stand with Carla Lockhart
So the Sore Dismal Loser Party want 360k+ voters to be ignored and just follow the advice of Mr Eastwood.
He wants rigorous implementation, we want rational solutions
SDLP stood by when SF crashed the Assembly for 3 years about language.
I see the lie repeated regularly that the DUP want a hard border with checkpoints recreated through Brexit.
Repeating that lie does not change the fact it is a lie.
Goods entering RoI can be checked at our ports and in factories.
Goods staying in NI pose no risk to the EU SM.

in 1975 the IRA murdered Stanley Irwin, 26. Farmer murdered at his farmhouse, Eglish, Dungannon. He & neighbour home from ploughing match, sat down to tea. Shape appeared at window followed by gunfire. No security or political connections. Sister arrived to scene

We all know that Republicans don't mind hurting business if it helps them achieve an united Ireland.
Why when 83% of business in Lagan Valley area want it changed is the Alliance Party demanding its rigorous implementation.
While many Unionists get angry at how SF have where they can sought to stop any mark of Northern Irelands anniversary. I consider it a timely reminder of how we would be treated in a SF dominated united Ireland.
Tánaiste Leo Varadkar has accused the British government of "not being even handed" when it comes to resolving the row over the Northern Ireland Protocol.

So after going through the appropriate equality screening, a decision was made to recognise the achievement of our highly respected Queen.
Regrettable the Belfast Telegraph don't like my decision which was entirely proper and legitimate.
Edwin Poots decided to rename a government building in honour of the Queen without consultation and despite recognition from his department that it could “raise sensitivity” for nationalist members of staff.
Sad to see the View misinformation tonight.
No other politician was at the meeting.
I accurately reflected what food suppliers said.
BBC have joined the pro protocol parties to play down the damage that is being done when the reality is plainly evident to the wider public.

You couldn't half fill your hall for the unity jamboree.
Recruiting in an echo chamber doesn't change much .
Pro nationalist vote has reduced over the last 20 years.
Today, I announce my candidacy for leader of the Democratic Unionist Party. I love this country and its people and I look forward to engaging with party colleagues in the days ahead.
All Party leaders except SF signed a letter of support for Police and Prison Service recruitment after advertisements were removed.
Dissidents have opposed such recruitment. Where does Michelle O'Neill stand?
The two week circuit breaker became four, now they want six and then what? 1,000s of staff in hospitality having their wages cut and no tips in the mouth of Christmas if SF have there way.
The media for some time now always try to shut people down who comment on the IRA murdering campaign and Sinn Feins association with them.
We should never forget the heinous crimes of the IRA and the apologists in SF that supported it.
I wish to thank Arlene for her service, sacrifice and commitment to the DUP and Country.
We all wish her well for whatever the future may hold for her and her family.
I have met senior members of Her Majesty's Government, to highlight the scale of the problem and urged them to take steps up to and including invoking Article 16 as it is evident that the Protocol is damaging Northern Ireland ath the economic and societal level.
The unfortunate circumstances the family who owned the four ponies found themselves in through no fault of their own, is entirely down to a protocol which is causing harm to business and consumers.
All parties need to work together to remove this imposition.
I had the privilege of meeting Her Majesty the Queen a number of times, always gracious, dignified, personable, kind. She had a real presence and a strong Christian faith.
We have lost a very special person.
My prayers and sympathies are with King Charles and the Royal family.
For 2 weeks the media waxes lyrical about the problems bringing food to NI from GB. The moment a DUP Minister says there is a problem and links it to the protocol, they suddenly change their position.
Those who support the NI Protocol cannot claim to be concerned about cost of living.
Without grace periods the cost of food would rise significantly in perpetuity.
As things stand one retailer has seen transport cost rise from 4% to 12% because of difficulties created by the NIP

Isabel Vaughan-Spruce was arrested for praying silently in her head.
We apparently have Thoughtcrime in the UK.
Has any major politician or religious leader spoken out against this?
This should be all over mainstream media.
Thank goodness for Tucker.

@USEmbassyDublin
Why are your team ignoring the damage the Northern Ireland Protocol is doing to the Belfast Agreement.
EUs refusal to negotiate sensibly over the last 2 years demonstrates they are playing fast and loose with the peace process.
US should be standing with their ally UK.
@JP_Biz
The EU seem determined to continue to drive a wrecking ball into the NI economy.
It is particularly hard on small business and consumers many with low disposable income.
@CatharineHoey
Nothing was promised to me, I supported a deal that undoes much of the damage caused by Boris Johnston Withdrawal Agreement, an actual surrender.
Clarify if I'm wrong. Did Kate Hoey MP not vote for the WA which created the border in the Irish Sea
