Really interesting! Academia generally ignores the effect people have on others' research. Someone who increases everyone else's productivity is not recognized or rewarded. But they should be.

@ElaineLiuEcon My son who teaches at a fancy high school told me that fancy high schools are all doing this. I get these emails from just a few schools. But I just don't have time, and it is not my job, esp when they are not potential recruits (want to go somewhere better).
