My husband does this thing where he gets me flowers EVERY time I take a test or present at a research conference. Today it hit different. I literally could cry right now. 🥹
So thankful for him and his unconditional support ✨
The world feels a little emptier today. We lost an incredible human and a brilliant surgeon. Sister, I am gonna miss you.
Though we never got to share an OR, your spirit will forever guide me and I'll strive to honor your legacy every day. Rest easy, Dr. Nemeth. 🤍

The US is 19% Latino, yet:
•Less than 7% of US physicians are Latino/a/e/x .
•Only 2.4 % identify as Latinas.
•Only 1% of academic surgeons are Latinas.
It is not enough. The lack of Latino physician representation adds barriers and leads to worse healthcare outcomes.
