This is truly awe-inspiring stuff. I can’t imagine how much thought went into making sure it all worked. Impressive!
We are at the halfway point on our project with The National GC Long Island site. An expansion of the George Thomas concept of a course within a course will see 3 different layouts over this sandbelt site. This sketch shows some of the variations through the middle of the course.

An absolute embarrassment of leadership from the TOUR to abandon Monday Qualifiers at Scottsdale!
A Monday Qualifier who was playing in his third ever tour event and making his first ever cut, just beat the best player in the world by SIX while playing in the same group. No matter what happens in Chandlers career, he will always remember this round. Shame on the Tour and Policy Board for ending stories like this and throwing away 77 years of Monday Qs at this event. Awesome stuff from Will.

@andrewjcarr29 @L7760Larry Yes but you also need opportunities to make bogeys, as well. Thats where 14 comes in, or 18 before everyone could just fly the water. Opportunities to move up and down is the key

@andrewjcarr29 @L7760Larry It does a very good job of getting a much more difficult front nine out of the way. Yes, there’s a couple par 5’s but the back nine really sets up for fireworks with 15 & 17 + 18. The pacing is very good from a spectator POV. Shorter courses don’t mean more change at the top

@L7760Larry Pebble is a better golf course tenfold, maybe twentyfold. But, Scottsdale, along with Sawgrass, are the two TPC’s who have nailed the formula!
