Sister Grace gave me consent to post our interactions online to uplift other cancer patients and touch doctors to be more human. Some of our interactions have been posted in the past on my WhatsApp story. And also, Sis Grace is a name I gave her that she liked. Valid concern ❤️

THE TYPE OF NEWS I LIKE TO HEAR!!
BRAVO!!! 👏🏾
After Peter Obi wins, we would need to look at our national spirit and understanding of unity. America thrives on the diversity that separates us. We are going to need the best minds to do this. We’re going to need the wise, we’re going to need the brilliant.
@PeterObi
This is apparently the closest any medical movie has come to depicting the state of medical schools in Nigeria. Weird that it’s coming from Bollywood... please who knows the name of this movie? 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Retweet till we find the name.

If this falls on your timeline, please retweet to help spread the word. Our colleague, Dr. Amanda, needs our support in a challenging health journey.
Dr. Amanda, has been battling avascular necrosis for over a decade.
In medical school, there were always those students who were unhappy when majority of the class did well. It was not only enough for them to pass, others had to fail for them to be happy. They hoarded materials all the time.
Don’t tag them, if you know anyone, just retweet.
How I nearly lost my sight.
A couple of months ago, I went for a medical outreach in a village in Enugu. There, an insect got into my right eye and I felt it was nothing. Weeks later, my eye began to hurt. And I hoped it’ll go on its own. It didn’t.
If you are a Nigerian Doctor/Medical student, please STOP and read this. It might be long but this is an SOS 🆘 to save Nigerian doctors from embarrassment, hunger and depression.
It was not always like this. Nigerian doctors were once considered rich and were able to feed…
So this guy, a junior reg was punished with weekend call. He did it but on Sunday, he left the hospital at 2am.
He told the truth when he was asked and he was given another 1wk call.
Next day oga tendered resignation letter, he had joined the NHS.

My first encounter with death, I was about 5yrs old. Our neighbor had died. and Twas my mum who verified him dead. I kept asking “mum, when will he wake up?” she told me it was final & I said “when I’m a dr, I’ll cure death”
I can’t do that but I can help make life better.
TRUE STORY Two nights ago, I was taking a walk late in the night when I heard a girl begging a man to leave her alone. As I walked past them, she kept quiet and I sensed she was in danger and I called her to come.
To our doctors,
As you advance in your medical Journey, do all you can to make sure you don’t become the wicked consultant, SR or reg that you dreaded in medical school/ residency.
Let our generation be the ones to remove toxicity and bring in a healthy system.
God help us.
Please Beware! ⚠️ Placing your feet on the dashboard is the most dangerous position to be in especially if your driver needs to stop suddenly or vehicle is involved in a crash.
This is not cool guys, it could cause serious injuries. Please avoid it.

One day, I asked a med student to pass a catheter, he was a bit jittery but I guided him throughout. His mates where in the background laughing but I kept saying “you’re doing well”
At the end of the procedure he came and thanked me so much.
It’s indeed the little things!

A Lady was being worked up for mastectomy following a diagnosis of Breast Cancer. She received several courses of chemotherapy and the tumor shrank and was unnoticeable.

Why will a single Doctor be on call for 30days straight? This is MODERN DAY SLAVERY. One young house officer will work back to back for seven hundred and twenty (720) hours. How would he give his best? What do they want to do to Dr. Winners? ⚠️⚠️

Since JAMB registration began, I’ve been seeing a lot of docs & med students discouraging people from applying into medicine. I will tell you this, If medicine is what you truly want to do, go for it. It is fulfilling, it has its downsides but don’t listen to naysayers. Goodluck!

Dear Patient,
The medical student you’re refusing to examine you today will be a consultant and your children’s doctor tomorrow.
You want an experienced doctor but you don’t want medical students to gain experience. Do better.
Every one of you who have supported people with cancer in one way or the other, I wish you all the good things of life. As doctors, the least we can do is to be human and treat our patients as human.
God bless us all ❤️🕊️
Bringing this back to the timeline, dear

, if you eventually find yourself in academics, don’t repeat the same things your teachers did that made med school unbearable for you. Peace 🕊
5 years ago, I asked my Twitter crush on a date. Today, I asked her to marry me.
Both times she said no, so here is a picture of a random couple I got on google

I turned, reached into the back of my trousers like I was pulling out a gun and he zoomed off. I walked as fast as I could. I was scared and I no get any gun o. I hope she’s fine, she’d go on to remember me. We might never cross paths again. Don’t harass women!
Whenever I see the issue of patients paying deposit before being attended to, I remember this incidence. Almost all Nigerian doctors have experienced this. Sad.

I might get into trouble for saying this but it is not the job of a doctor (reg/HO) to go struggling to get blood from the blood bank. There are people (porters) on payroll for this. Punishing a doctor for not doing this is reinforcing wrong practice. It’s not done anywhere else!

I wonder where he is now, wish I can show him I’m taking those steps…
