That verse was not meant to be taken in a way to dishonor Mary, for there was nobody more faithful than Mary. But is meant to reject people we're thinking in a worldly way (and had no idea of the spiritual significance of Mary and Christ incarnation) that thought our blood ties is what matters, to which what truly matters is our fidelity. Again Scripture is clear that "all generations will call me blessed" and this was always the case for all Christians until sadly the invention of protestantism in the 16th century Western Europe. Let me add our honor of Mary is not 1% of 1% of 1% of the glory we give to God. The problem is it seems like many Protestants have such a shallow worship of God that they are uncomfortable that our honor of Mary as far greater than the worship of God. If you have such a problem with our honor of Mary, I think you might want to look inwardly and recognize maybe you have a reverence to God problem? The reality is there's no way we can love Mary as much as Jesus does and He's pleased that we love our shared mother like Him. Furthermore, when you have a deep relationship with Jesus and Mary you don't think of things in such a mechanical way. I pray that your relationship with the good Lord increases and you can see that his mother is part of the family and her whole purpose is to help you cultivate a perfect union with Jesus Christ so He can live and dwell in you with the Holy Spirit and love through you as a beloved child of God. Hopefully you'll get to the point where you can say like St Paul, "it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me (Gal 2:20)" and when people see you they see the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Gal 5:22-23) and Jesus in disguise.

First of all God's Word, which consists of Scripture and Apostolic Tradition (to which I might add that there fact that there is a written Revelation of the New Testament and what books form the cannon of the Bible are Apostolic Traditions) cannot be added to, to which ended with the death of the Apostles and this very truth is an Apostolic Tradition. As far as having a relationship with Mary, as our mother (John 19:26-27, Rev 12:1, does come from God's Word, prayer the Rosary is based on scripture and the Holy Spirit continues to guide the Church and gives us inspiring prayers and devotions (small t traditons) that aid us in different time periods to fulfill our vocation to enter into a perfect union with Jesus Christ and become loving Children of God (John 15:4-5, Gal 2:20, John 1:12-13, Gal 5:22-23, etc.). Sorry you are so anti-Mary, to which there's a prophecy in scripture (Luke 1:48) talking about there will be a time in the he future when this Gal 1:8 which began in the 16th century with the invention a protestantism and the heretical traditions of men of scripture alone, faith alone, every person has equal authority over scriptures teachings (and you get to mess we have today with everybody having a different version of Christ that is in each person's own image and likeness).

Um what? Jesus gave His mother to us (John 19:27) is for one purpose, to help us enter into a perfect union with Him, and fully our ultimate vocation which is to become a loving Child of God (John 1:12-13, 1 John 4:8, Gal 5:22-23, 1 Cor 13, etc.) . Remember there's a prophecy in scripture talking about Galatians 1:8 Christians that will oppose Mary (Luke 1:48). All the original Apostolic churches (Catholic Church, Oriental Orthodox ( 5th C. broke from CC), Assyrian Church of the East (5th C. broke from CC, Eastern Orthodox 11th C. broke from CC) still to this day honor and love Mary as our mother. Protestantism that was invented in the 16th century Western Europe and follows the heretical traditions of men of scripture alone and faith alone, is the first group of Christians to dishonor Mary.

Truly understanding Mary is ALL about Jesus for she's intrinsically linked and inseparable from Jesus. This is the mystery of his incarnation, that God became man in Jesus Christ through Mary. Why did God choose an insignificant creature to be a part of salvific plan? You can ask Him but what it shows is how much he loves us and wants to integrate us into Himself and allow us to share in His divinity (Luke 1:28, Luke 1:41, Luke 1:43, Luke 1:48, Luke 2:35, John 1:12-14, John 2:1-12, John 19:26-27, 2 Peter 1:4, Gal 2:20, Rev 12:1, Genesis 3:15, etc.).

@farmingandJesus He did, however His incarnation and crucifixion did not exist before Mary and they are intrinsically linked to Mary, not so genius.

@Klean861945 @farmingandJesus I've never met any Catholics who believe "man-made processes" can save us. That doesn't even make sense. What exactly are you referring to?

You're misunderstanding the statement. Something can be an instrument that Jesus uses to to bring Himself to them. If someone says that the Bible "saved them" it would be in the sense that they encountered Jesus who alone can forgive sins and adopt us into God's family. In the same way let's say there was an individual named Tim that taught a person named Ed, who is very depressed, on drugs and suicidal about Jesus he became a believer and got baptized. If Ed said, "Tim saved my soul" that would be true in the sense that Ed brought him to Jesus. In fact most people learn about Jesus from another and so they are an instrument that Jesus uses to bring Himself to them. You need to learn the context of a statement.

To the degree that one knowingly believes in a false teaching of the gospel. I mean the reality is Protestants have a gazillion different versions of the Gospel. I'm sure if we took a survey a Protestants who comment on these posts I doubt we could find two that had the same beliefs. God looks at our heart and judges by how much light we are given. The reality is that most Protestants in America have a very different gospel then some of the founding fathers of protestantism and the branches of that movement that they founded such as Luther, Calvin and Wesley. I mean we can look at these three figures and all three of them believed in infant and regenerative baptism, the perpetual virginity of Mary, the liturgy, the creeds, that sacraments confered grace, that the Eucharist was not merely symbolic but there was a sense of His Real Presence - to which they had different versions of this doctrine, that scripture made clear that Mary was the Mother of God (theotokis). The reason for this is they believed in Jesus' Hypostatic Union (that Jesus was fully God and fully human at the same time) like the Catholic church and the other original Apostolic churches (Oriental orthodox, Assyrian Church of the East, Eastern Orthodox). Thus you could call Marry the mother of God in the sense that she is the mother of Jesus, who is always fully God. This does not mean of course that Mary is a mother of God the Father, to which no Christian believes that. It is true that Calvin did not like the customary use of that title because he felt it led to "excessive" devotion to Mary and he of course denied other gospel teachings about Mary such as her intercession, assumption and immaculate consumption, but nevertheless he did not reject it outright because that would deny a gospel truth.

That is incorrect. The Catholic Church teaches that we are saved by what Christ did, which is dying in the cross and rising from the dead for the forgiveness of our sins AND obtaining for us the graces to become holy, which is necessary to go to heaven. Scripture cannot be more clear: Strive for peace with all men, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. - Hebrews 12:14 He who says β€œI know him” but disobeys his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2 He who does not love does not know God; for God is love - 1 John 4:8 β€œIf you love me, you will keep my commandments. - John 14:15 But nothing unclean shall enter it, nor any one who practices abomination or falsehood, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life. - -Revelation 21:27 Holiness is simply perfect love, to which God is love and we are called to become a loving child of God. It is through faith that we enter union with God, but we must stay in that union with God whereby He will dwell in us and through the Holy Spirit His Charity (agape love) will shine through us. In other words, our faith needs to bear fruit, or we will not be saved (Gal 5:22-23, 1 John 15:5-8, Mathew 3:10, Mathew 7:21) etc. Paul even distinguishes between faith, hope and charity (agape love), known as the theological virtues. He even says that charity is greater than faith ( 1 Cor 13). Now you cannot have charity without faith, but you can have faith without charity. God is love and becoming part of this love is our ultimate end. So faith is foundational, but if love does not proceed from this faith it will die. And none of this is possible without the Holy Spirit giving us a graces to believe and to love.

Well, there are 144 Latin Catholic dioceses in the US and within those dioceses there are around 5,905 Catholic Schools and so I think we both can agree that "several", what like 3, 4, or even 5 (.084 %) schools you were involved with would not give you enough information to make an informed assessment of the state of our Catholic Schools.

Oh did you do a detailed analysis of all our Catholic schools in the nation? Or is this just sinful, rash judgment where you actually didn't do any detailed research but are just speaking out of your cynical perception of the world? Because I can look at many of the schools by me and they're really being transformed into awesome Catholic schools, where the foundation of the school is to help form faithful disciples of Christ and His Church.

@WazzuCrew11 @technologypoet @HawleyMO @BernieSanders @realDonaldTrump It's simple. They pay their bills on time and pay off there bad debts. A bank will extend small amount of credit to somebody who has good payment history and no bad debts, to which can be extended from there. They can also start out with a secured card.

@ThackerX @CandiceLen @HawleyMO @BernieSanders @realDonaldTrump It is better to not take credit if it is not at reasonable terms. We should make it more of a priority to help people that have a marginal credit rating get a good credit rating.

@AngryPineaple @TomFitton No credit access is better than bad credit access for it enslaves people. Let's make it a focus to help build up people's credit profiles. Let us actually try to help people then deceive them into enslavmeent.
