@gunnarmorling because any such default feature would be abused by intercepting malware. developers have options like mkcert and managing the certificate store themselves, understanding the risks.

@petergyang TechCrunch was founded as a positive driving voice for tech, innovation and risk-taking (I know because I was there). In a world where 90%+ of products fail, it's easy to be cynical and then be right. TechCrunch of that time and now are not the same.

@CryptoDevil @CalvinAyre This is a great thread (and prob worth a blog post). I've seen 10x more due diligence in six-figure investments than what Ayre carried out in his nine-figure investment. Not catching 1Feex on a paper wallet is inexcusable. Not a single sympathetic figure is present in this story.

@kurtwuckertjr I can't think of a single coherent or intelligent thing Calvin has ever said. If he was smart, he would have done his due diligence and figured in a few hours what I did 8 years ago that Craig is a scam.

@SpeakServeGrow Read "When Prophecy Fails" to understand this. When predictions fail to materialize, cults adjust their beliefs and embed themselves even further. It's a weird psychological behaviour, but it's seen repeatedly.

@Arthur_van_Pelt Congratulations, and thank you for all of your hard work over the years. I'm only disappointed that it took 8 years to settle. This was the largest attempted financial fraud in world history and destroyed the lives of countless people.
