Parents should stop enabling the wrong things simply because they went through the same! A ban on boarding primary schools should be implemented. Take your kids to your local schools as much as possible. Frankly what was she paying 3m for at this boarding school if not torture?

@ronKyeyune Let them face the full extent of the law. Corporal punishment was outlawed long time ago

@EllyAndy07 Yes. In my P2, teachers, each with atleast 2 sticks made us lie on our bellies and they lined up beating us (entire school) indiscriminately one after another. Corporal punishment must be weeded out of schools.

@KakwenzaRukira I learnt my lesson many years ago! I had gone visiting in Wobulenzi. Little did I know that flu would leave me unable to even lift my head for 4 days. I was in the house for an entire week! Since then, I approach flu Golola-like!!

@ssega2001 @AKasingye @KCCAUG Exactly. Humans are not objects. They react to their changing circumstances which may change everything

@ssega2001 @AKasingye @KCCAUG Like the new Markets across the cities, its important to learn about how people live so as to incorporate the social and economic realities of slums in the new developments. They must not be uprooted but empowered to progress while living a life close to what they had. Tough huh!

@AKasingye @ssega2001 @KCCAUG Thanks Sir. These are ideas that can be refined for the betterment of the city without driving dwellers out. Kampala can be transformed with its population

@ssega2001 @AKasingye @KCCAUG It should be different. No need to displace settlers. Their land can be valued and translated into extra apartments if its merited. It needs alot of openness and honesty. We are short in that area unfortunately hence the Namuwongo results.

It is possible to transform this country with the right focus, political will and action.
#UnpopularOpinion #426. Driving along the Northern bypass exposes hectares of slum dwellings. These exist in many areas of the city & surrounding areas. I am aware of how difficult it can be to relocate people for modern developments. What if an acre thatโs occupied by about 30 is allocated to an investor who puts up a 50-100 condos & grants land titles to the 30 sitting tenants & recoups the investment by selling the rest to other people? This would change the landscape & skyline of Kampala into a modern city & better standard of living.

@AKasingye @KCCAUG This was the precursor to the meeting above. I was invited by @PeterKaujju , then Spokesman of @KCCAUG . He introduced me to different departments as per my concern. That was 2018!!!
Kiyaaye-Nakulabye area. I know such can be avoided. Slums too can be dealt with. Why not enter into a partnership with the land owners, @KCCAUG and investors, use use the condominium law and provide flats people? @newvisionwire @DailyMonitor @nbstv @ntvuganda @bbstvug
