One of them had almost no symptoms and the other ended up with double pneumonia before recovering. They've both since tested negative twice (5 days apart). They are now virus-free. I just wanted to share this to remind folks that it's not all doom and gloom. Hang in there.

Strategy > tools The SaaSification of business has led to an unhealthy preoccupation with tools. Instead of copying the tools of others, start by figuring out the unique strategy that you need, then find a tool that does that. It'll save you a lot of headaches.

It can be a struggle to compete against Amazon. 1 or 2-day shipping, Prime perks, broad inventory, and more. But you know one area where more DTC brands can and should be out-performing Amazon? **Responsive and accessible customer support.**

Unpopular opinion: I'm not a fan of link building. Instead, I think more folks should identify other brands that serve their audience and build relationships with them. Then they should produce good content and let those relationships turn into backlinks organically over time.

@TheSzef Honestly, I’d leave it. Consumers don’t trust 100% good reviews. Also, you could “make lemonade” with that and do an ad that says something like “all five star reviews except for that one guy whose order got stolen by a porch pirate”

Owned audiences often play second fiddle to paid advertising, but they're key to profitability. Highly engaged and growing lists (email and SMS) help guard you against rising ad costs and helps improve your customer retention. Don't take them for granted.
