Ah, I think I misunderstood. I briefly swap my right thumb to the left thumb stick so I can keep moving, hold L1 with my left index and input the stratagem code with my left thumb!
It might seem weird, but it's muscle memory that came straight back from playing the 1st.

It's the precedent you set; you're using AI to puppeteer a dead man's voice and make him say things he never said. I don't care how effective of a solution it is, the ends don't justify the means. They will have unused dialogue they can stitch together. Fuck AI voices.

You can see the emotion in her eyes much more clearly in the original. As the screenshots go down and the fidelity increases, she actually looks more and more dead behind the eyes. Interesting how a little bit of stylisation will always be superior to full realism.

The best thing about that whole episode for me is how the job is 100% on the animators to provide all the characterisation for a performance that is usually so dependant on a specific vocal delivery. And they smashed it out the park.

Great write-up. I fully agree, though I could personally have done with less of the grim dark of season 1 and 2, as well as less of the abuse directed towards Picard in S1. No Star Trek script should contain an F-bomb in my opinion, but that's probably just my sensibilities!

The subtle glow is absolutely fine and dandy for me - the more ornate designs of the armour would have been too busy otherwise and these pieces look like they will mix and match much better with other less glow-y gear. Great design!

All AI voices are trained off real human voices, none of whom are giving their permission. It's a harsh way to come down on the creator, but AI as a whole is an existential threat to a lot of careers and we'd very much rather than nobody used it.
