I think right now is the best time to start a consumer tech company since early mobile. I'm desperate for great founders going after big consumer problems!.
I think consumer is coming back. Active thesis: lots of things with marginal long term cohort retention (<20% d90) could possibly become viable 40%+ long term retention (asymptotic) with LLMs doing heavy lifting making consumer scenarios much more compelling.

I try to be as dumb as possible when making investments. One of my favorite dumb ideas is that if enough different people are duplicating the same effort to varying degrees of success, there's an opportunity for a company to serve those customers better than they could themselves.

Ben was an incredible member of the team at Sentry. Incredibly bright, worked hard, and a joy to be around. One of my favorite humans. I remember being a a bit sad when he moved away from SF and now I'm sad he's leaving Sentry. But. I'll keep finding ways to bother him :).
