I’m not Muslim. Like Biden I’m Irish Catholic from Wilmington DE. I’ve been voting for Biden since 1990 but his enabling of a genocide has cost him my vote this year. If he loses, don’t blame Muslims, don’t blame me, blame Biden for refusing to listen when we said it’s a genocide
@Angry_Staffer
No. Harris needs to come out fully against the genocide.
I mean really? Why is that so hard?
The fact that she doesn’t makes those of us who support Palestinian freedom worth that she’ll just be more of the same.
We don’t want to vote for that.
She needs to step up. Now.
@RonFilipkowski
I used to play baseball against Hunter and Beau in Little League. Joe came to the games and my dad always talked to him and introduced us. Also, they witnessed the deaths of their mother and baby sister in a car accident. Those guys were not coddled.

who understood that learning history is important, especially that part that shows how difficult life was for Americans who weren’t the favored race, even if it makes us feel bad. We’re still friends.
@adorokirk025
@mehdirhasan
We’re not fools, we’re Americans who believe in democracy and human dignity. Biden is currently enabling the greatest crime that humans can ever commit, his constituents are yelling at him to stop and he isn’t so we will have to use our vote to get him to listen.

That’s the language of an abuser. “I’m sorry if you were hurt but you made me do it.”
Not an apology.

Everything I’m reading about the guy who tried to murder FBI agents in Cincinnati calls him an “extremist” but the guy who attacked Rushdie is a “terrorist”. Is that because the Cincinnati guy is white while the Rushdie guy is not?

Walmart needs to reimburse state and county governments who subsidize their employees with food stamps, Medicaid and temporary assistance. Too many people are working full time but still have to rely on these programs. It’s a subsidy for the rich corporations.

@MotherJones
This is so depressing. I’m Irish Catholic from Wilmington DE, I’ve met Biden many times and I identify with him in so many ways but boy, I don’t know how he can be so, so wrong here. He’s known for his empathy but he has zero empathy for the actual victims. It’s crazy.
@Angry_Staffer
1. I don’t think Harris is interested in an equitable, lasting settlement. I don’t think anyone in American government is because that would mean the end of the apartheid state. Both Harris and Trump are racist against Palestinians. Trump is okay with over genocide.
@fesshole
When I was a lifeguard we had these little kits we used to check the Ph and chlorine levels. We’d take a sample of the water and put in these drops and the water would turn a color. Every time I’d turn to the nearest kid watching and say “This says you peed in my pool.”

Not controlled, just on the same page. Fascism supports fascism. They’re both working toward a separate larger goal with an end result that is mutually exclusive, but for now they are happy to be allies as a shift to the Right gets them both closer to their end game.

Anyone who complains about CRT has no idea what it means. There is nothing wrong about actual CRT. But then you get to what they think it means, teaching American history in a way that makes white people sad, and there is still nothing wrong with it. We need to learn history.

Politics and race are what caused this. Politics prevented practical gun control and race baiting stoked hatred strong enough to cause people to indiscriminately kill other human beings.
Politics and race caused this problem and it is the only solution.

Sure, but I’m not seeing Liz Cheney/Adam Kinzinger Level courage here.
Also, my kids who were 11 and 7 in 2016 knew perfectly well that TFG was a crook, so why the hell didn’t John Kelly?
@michaelharriot
The racist trope that is still used today which goes, Blacks are only agitating because they are being manipulated by outside agitators. It used to be communists, today it’s George Soros or anyone else they can find.
It’s infantilising and it allows them to ignore the true cause

I lived and worked in the Haitian community in the 90’s and became fluent in Creole. I’ve traveled to Haiti multiple times to translate for aid workers. I’ve eaten thousands of Haitian meals, not one of them ever included a cat or dog. Haiti changed the world, we owe them respect

It’s never a wise move to display your deliberate ignorance to the world. Hollywood is a huge part of the GA economy today, much of Hollywood opposes this bill, not just two actors. Their pullout from GA would be felt across the state, even by those who think you are smart.

I was in Haiti speaking in Creole with the bartender and asked him for a “Coke” he said really? Yeah, I’m thirsty. Okay. He sent someone outside who climbed a tree, cut down a coconut, chopped off the end and stuck a straw in it. It was delicious! Then everyone wanted one.

Giving away nearly all of Palestine didn’t stop the conflict there. It just encouraged the Israelis to keep taking more and more in the form of settlements. And the US encouraged it with our bling support of the occupiers.

Looks like he had nothing to worry about since apparently we’re doing exist here in the future.

I don’t think that means he’s particularly smart. I see that as he has a lot of practice breaking the law. Covering his tracks is second nature to him that comes as easily as it does for a concert pianist to find middle C on the piano. It’s not deliberate, it’s muscle memory.

Have you ever dropped three buses from 60,000 feet? That’s eleven miles up. In free fall it could reach speeds approaching the sound barrier. The air resistance tends to break large pieces off and then scatter them over a wide area. Like seven miles wide.

It’s disgraceful.
