In the films (all 9 of them even!) you could really feel the buzz, the sizzle, the power of a lightsaber that was brought to life by the visual and sound design. Commodifying it to the point where they are flat glow sticks is just one way in which the D+ shows fall flat.
This is an art direction nitpick but I miss how they used to animate the lightsabers. The energy blades seem so lifeless when the light isn’t stretching with every quick movement they do. It’s kinda hard to explain so i animated it to give y’all an idea of what I mean
