I don’t advocate for an end to oppression bc of some far-off possibility tht my kids will ask me one day “what did you do?” I do it for my own soul that shakes me awake every day demanding a response to my own beating heart’s query: what, in the end, is the purpose of this heart?

With all the talk of decolonizing global health some years ago, we never learned this. We never became the learners, always had to be the ones teaching. In the case of Palestine, some of us tried to learn, but they didn’t even allow us to share those learnings. Now, we are lost.
