I will say for myself that centering the freedom of Palestine has freed me of career/prestige-driven writing aspirations. My dreams for my writing now exceed getting published in xyz magazine. I’m dreaming of building something new now.

Lest anyone is confused, this project does not exist because it's "for a good cause" but because it is our moral and revolutionary duty to support the Palestinian people by any means necessary, money being a crucial aspect of that support but by no means the only one.
