So here’s a distraction to take my mind off semi final heartbreak... after v long day I’ve checked into budget hotel on Walls Roundabout ahead of early start tomorrow. Went into room 34, put light on, naked man jumps out of bed and screams...so did I, they gave me wrong room!
Just debating whether to take a tour of wonderful Bath? Lovely day for it but for some strange reason seem to be getting a bit of abuse from the locals.
He’s just had his favourite walk, gobbled down the left overs from his breakfast and managed to secure his preferred bit of lawn. A full belly and some gentle sunshine. Meanwhile I’m 800 words in for July

My mate

Many congratulations to my former boss Mark Hurrell with his new role of Sheriff. I’m in no doubt of our relative roles in the county… his chosen by the king, mine, back in the day, made Mock Mayor because I offered to buy the drinks in One Eyed Jacks…
Time now for a long winter’s nap! Thanks to the brilliant

Such a joy to spend time with Kev on air and especially off air. Kind, funny, loved a “lunch”, real ale and his sport. True friend and so many will miss him hugely.
If you thought

The day before his last game he co hosted the show and he was moved beyond words with the love and warmth from fans phoning in. Such a fun, dry, gentle lovely man
In a world than can be a tad beige at times Bobby brought a rainbow of colour. I loved it when he co hosted with me because I knew he’d be funny, frank, risky, unfiltered and usually get me into hot water. I quite liked bathing in that hot water…an utter one off and total joy
Sad news. Former BBC Radio Gloucestershire sports commentator Bob Hunt has died following a long illness. He was 70.
He loved making people smile.

Loved having him on the show over the years and loved the fun and games we had away from the studio. Never heard a bad word about him, loved and respected across the county but especially in Cheltenham. A great loss.
Just had CT scan.
Nurse.” When we inject the dye you might feel a little warm and damp as if you’ve wet yourself”
Me, 1 minute later. “ Gosh, that really feels as if I’ve wet myself”
Nurse. “We haven’t put the dye in yet”
