Arriving instead of being is Ronaldo's defining trait. The thought-process behind this comes from building relationships organically; and potentially creating scenarios that, ultimately, enhances a player's qualities.
A thorough reading of him arriving into "said" space (cont)
19 year old Cristiano vs. Arsenal, FA Cup SF.
The talent on display (in the opening mins) was just sth else.
PS: This was Arsenal's 5th defeat of the season.
Fake; agendas gotta run, though.

Esos segundos de pausa que le araña a cada acción para darle un respiro a los suyos;constantes apoyos; desmarques para limpiar jugadas; marcar sobre el pase.
El fútbol que no se ve.
1) Ronaldo passes the ball wide and dashes to the area or, in this case, gets into a potential goalscoring position. The ball never comes.
2) Ronaldo doesn't rush into the box and rather prioritizes being open for a single pass. A run into the far-post follows, but he isnt picked
Speaking of Ronaldo, here's part 2 of my analysis of basically all the advantages he creates OUTSIDE the box and wing areas.
This is the most overlooked and underrated area of his game, by far.
He's truly elite at it yet he is never associated with it.
"Hanging around the penalty area"
Haters are in full-flow. Here we go again!!!!!
"Portugal tailoring their game to suit Ronaldo" is nonsense. Santos did the opposite and his team went on to concede 7 goals.
"There is a growing concern that Portugal have not only become reliant on Ronaldo, but that they have tailored their game to correspond with the Madeira native's strengths and weaknesses."

Bellingham gives you more than Mbappé. Mbappé is a fantastic player. However he's reliant on the left flank, to cut inside to try & score. With Bellingham. He's everywhere. Forcing the game from every area of the pitch. Kylian is a liability on balls behind. Bellingham isn't.
Ronaldo is weirdly both A problem (but not THE problem) and a hell of a solution.
The fair argument remains you can’t play a modern system with him - but then you can’t with Solskjaer either.
