Peter Zeihan - the geopolitical strategist who often has weird takes - stuck his neck out two weeks ago and said Biden will win by a landslide. He cited how the GOP needs to win independents by 2/3 to win. Trump aligned candidates are losing them 4:1.
@SteveSchmidtSES
Not to mention there’s Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. It bars anyone who was part of an insurrection from ever holding office in Congress.

I wish I could remember the judge who fined everyone in his courtroom for allowing their city to be at a point where a homeless person had to steal bread to eat.
@RonFilipkowski
Article 3, Section 14 of the Texas Constitution grants immunity from arrest for legislators while the legislature is in session. This will have to adjudicated in court.

If she refuses Fox, he can say “but what about ‘anytime, anyplace?’” She could call his bluff by saying “Ok, I welcome more debates, but only if we do the ABC debate first, then I’ll do Fox with live fact checking.” That way he can’t crow about how he got her to debate his way.

@cbouzy
did a podcast call today where he laid out his election prediction model that has been accurate 96% since he launched in 2017. He’s already saying Biden/Harris will take 350 electoral votes and the Dems flip the House. He says Biden will flip NC, and the sleeper of the

May God have mercy on us, for too often those who call on Your name blaspheme by showing no mercy.
May God forgive us, even those who know better than to hate those whom You love.
May God grant this soul eternal rest, and joy at the resurrection of the saints at the Last Day.

That would be a good time for Biden to announce they have a signed Israel-Palestine cease fire. He just said they’re very close, and he’s sending Secretary Blinken to Israel.

Ok, then who is reporting that they didn’t allow his lawyers there and they were taking boxes indiscriminately? Because my Dad is fit to be tied and is spouting propaganda that it was a fishing expedition.
And note to self: it’s never good to talk politics with Dad.
@Redistrict
Meanwhile, Google Trends shows “Project 2025” with far more searches in the last few weeks than even “Biden health” or “immigration.” Go where the eye balls are going. The searchers don’t care about Biden health, apparently.
@CampArlington
And they’re melting down now that the Dem mayor of Miami Dade County won reelection in a landslide. She’s taking well over half of independent voters there.
@thejackhopkins
Someone made a good point that you lean into his HS football coach experience and send him to college and NFL games every weekend in the Rust Belt and maybe talk to announcers about football, and it’d be over.
@TheRickWilson
And then my Dad is mad because he interprets it as “if you don’t vote the way I want you to, then you are against democracy.” I tend to steer clear of Dad lately.
@JessicaValenti
And if Senator Brown and Dems highlight this, I think he wins. And talk about a huge turnout next year to vote those people out. It may help the Dems up and down the ticket.
@SRuhle
People don’t believe me when I say that President Biden is far more informed and cogent than his public persona indicates. If he impresses these CEOs, you know the “sleepy Joe” attacks are definitely not true.
@ChrisDJackson
Between this, the one in Hawaii, and the one Madam Vice President is holding today, tells me the funding hasn’t dried up. The donors withholding funding must be a very small percentage.

My great great grandfather died in the 1970s and was in his 90s. He was a teenager when powered flight was a thing and Henry Ford debuted the horseless carriage. Grandpa would go on to help make public broadcasting a thing (helped create KDKA) and helped make television popular.

I know of plenty of Republicans voters who plan to either stay home or leave the presidential ballot blank in November. Most are Ron De Santis and Haley supporters.

Funny how they suddenly can read trends, and by their reaction to what happened in France or UK most likely will happen in US. Fundamentals and trends are ignored in favor of polls, which only show a snapshot in time. Fundamentals and trends show where it is heading.

My mom is 63 and has been carnivore now for about six months. She’s saying much of her chronic health problems have gone away. She’s even able to tan naturally, whereas she’s had problems being in the sun for as long as I’ve been alive. Her hair has stopped falling out. It’s

I’m actually glad we are doing this four months to the election. It’s allowing us to push back and regroup, kick ass and take names. Better than in October.

My Dad said Christmas was a pagan holiday, so we didn’t celebrate it for most of my childhood. It’s why Grandma showers us with money and gifts when we grew up and stopped being so uptight about Christmas.

I think he over prepared for the debate. They say that that’s what happened to Reagan in the first debate with Mondale. He just was too tightly wound and rusty after four years of not having to campaign.
@JoJoFromJerz
Especially when the data guys I follow are looking at the fundamentals of the race, and see a big Biden win as probable. The polls are so flawed, they need to be ignored. What matters is the what the campaigns on the ground are saying, and it’s encouraging for the president.
@girlziplocked
I was on a date recently where she said “this is the first time in ages I’ve not been bored on a date. Usually I’d be four cocktails down by the end, but I’ve only had one.” I took it as a good sign.

Reminds me of the episode in the West Wing where Santos and other Democrats showed up for a vote when the Republicans Speaker didn’t expect them.

One of the oddest memories of my childhood is my dad telling a guy he didn’t really know he needed to tell his fiancée that she needed to wear more than leggings. Even at 8 years old I knew it was wrong for my Dad to do that.

Tell your friends to register and to vote. This is bigger than student loans or Gaza or anything. We need a landslide to bury MAGA once and for all.

I worked with a lady in her 50s who took a DNA test. She had been adopted. She discovered her birth mom’s family and realized she had hundreds of relatives - mostly living in the South. They almost immediately invited her to the next family reunion.

Not to mention, Google Trends shows far more searches for “Project 2025” than “Biden health” or every “immigration.” Anyone who does marketing can tell you to go where the eyeballs are going and provide the solution. Clearly Project 2025 is where the eyeballs are going.

Ah, but the constitution does not set the number of seats on the Court, and it only says they serve “on good behavior.” Congress decided on life terms. So, Congress can regulate them. And Congress has lengthened and shortened the seats on the Court, as well.

When my Dad called my youngest sister - his own daughter - a bitch, it was the beginning of the end of his 40 year marriage. He and mom divorced a few years later. And that daughter has an embargo on what we can share about her life with him. He still doesn’t get it.

A friend is texting me about the pick, says there’s a lot of GOP voters at his job who are disgusted by it. Many of them are undecided voters or Haley voters. A few said that they may just have to vote Biden.

It’s like Trump showed old time Republicans - who were in denial about where their party was going - just how far it is gone. I did my mourning four years ago.

I have so many I follow in business networking groups who are so convinced Trump will get a Reagan type landslide. Thankfully there are others pushing back. As usual, we are polarized and it won’t change votes.

I forget the author, but there’s an Australian author who does teach “sexual market value,” but he also emphasizes to guys that they have one, as well. They need to step up and be the attractive guy and not expect it all of her.

The Vice President is holding a huge fundraiser today, and the President is holding one on Hawaii and one in Chicago by end of month. Sounds to me as if the donors withholding funding are a very small percentage.

There’s a story from Victorian England, where a socialite dines with the two greatest Prime Ministers of that time: Benjamin Disraeli and William Gladstone. She later noted: “Gladstone made you think he was the smartest person in the room, while Disraeli thought I was smartest.”
@LauraRbnsn
It doesn’t help when you have shows like Law & Order: SVU or Without A Trace and so on playing to a wide audience. Heck, from watching NCIS you’d get the idea they had the US military suffered a crime rate much higher per capita than even San Francisco.
