Until you produce something better than The Chosen, I recommend staying quite. (if you have, link it here) In my opinion, you're not being a shepherd right now, you're being a Siskel and Ebert.

Having a church gathering on a Sunday when it falls on Christmas is what LEGALISM really looks like. Worship, with your family, at home, on a Christmas Sunday morning, is what FREEDOM IN CHRIST really looks like.
JESUS REVOLUTION was A++ Amazing date night film tonight with my wife. Talented cast, fantastic true story, written well, and cinematic. For any 'The Chosen' haters, it's ok to see this one ;-)

I praise and defend my brother in Christ, Pastor Mark Driscoll. I've known him for 23+ years personally and attended four of the church assemblies he was on staff at or a congregant (both WA and AZ). God is using him mightily. He has repented in my opinion, observation and in

That's amazing your team followed up! They'll find a church that has "their people" and hopefully thrive. The bride of Christ is made up of many varieties and preference thank goodness. God is awesome and kind like that.

Seems like a seminary grad female would make a great pastors wife, ministry/non-profit leader, et al. Walking with Jesus as some first century women did could be akin to a seminary degree.

Men in the audience should have walked out too.
Mark said it was not personal nor against any one person. It appears to me Mark was using the pole as an illustration...and a powerful one...that cuts to the heart.

The sad thing is, it's not new information. I've known this stat or one similar for 30 years. Society chooses to ignore it and caves to the loud emotional other side. It's difficult to have a logical and reasonable conversation about it. The enemy is not flesh and blood...

If I spent an hour a day praying for the USA, my heart would likely love the country more, want to serve it more and the people in it, want it to succeed/prosper, want Americans to repent by confessing sin and turning to Jesus and wanting this nation to be a light to the world.

Ravi would come across as really smart when he'd "preach" for many minutes at a time with his eyes closed in serious thought. His accent and ethnic background also made for mesmerizing talks and desirability as a conference speaker.

The pulpit is not the be-all and end-all in discipleship.

There is a loving church family out there for you brother Charlie. It hurts me to know you had religious trauma at a church. I've had it too. God will provide a church for you if you seek/ask Him for one. The church needs you.
One year ago today, 04/01/23, I swept down this mountain behind me in a snow avalanche. In hindsight, I was in the wrong place on a high avalanche day. I’m thankful to still be walking this earth in God’s will and sovereignty. He was good that day whether I had died or lived.
Went today to the spot on Mahogany Mountain, UT where the avalanche started at this cornice buildup one year ago. There was so much more snow last season. 6.5 mi rt and 3,200 ft up from the house. The cornice was not viewable from where I got hit (~500ft lower) due to trees.

There is nothing complicated about abortion. The devil, the world and our flesh make it seem like it is complicated. The baby is a person/human, and they should not be put to death no matter the reason/cause of the pregnancy. Put to death the rapist, but not the innocent baby.
