My oldest (42) daughter told me she was assaulted sexually (not raped, but still) several times growing up. Mostly by youth group boys. She never said anything because she thought she must have tempted them somehow. In case you wonder how my day is going.

Sexual assault happens to most women. I had a classmate put his hands down my pants at a school assembly when I was 14. I had a grown ass man stop me on the street that same year and offer me money to show him my underwear. I had his license number and the cops did nothing.

Hmmm…and my pastor got a bad case of Bell’s Palsy from covid a couple months ago. It’s better but not a lot. Anecdotal evidence is crappy evidence. I got it 10 years ago. No vax to blame it on. Mine went away eventually.

Ignore the horrible stories. The vast majority have no/mild symptoms. And it’s way better than Covid. I had Moderna but all my adult kids and 13 yr old grandson had Pfizer. 2nd shot a few of them felt off for a day.

I stopped talking to my brother during the early Trump years. He wanted to fight about Trump and when I wouldn’t he’d mock me on Facebook. My daughter asked him to stop. He’s MAGA-lite. Finally he decided he’d rather have a sister and apologized. We are fine now.
