We asked: How have these last days been for you?
Forrest Gifford with Austin Energy started telling me about his family and then walks off camera. His eyes are watery, he's been working 16-18-hour shifts. It's been a tough couple of days.

I asked my photog to help me find a sea of bluebonnets this morning.
He went all around the city, flashing his light at random patches of grass until he came across this!
Our morning photogs will do it all to get the shot.

After days of traveling, this family of five (6-yr-old not pictured) arrived last night from Ukraine.
They’ve seen the country they love destroyed. But now, they’re safe in Austin, and the smile on their faces seems to get bigger each second✨.
Story tonight on
@KVUE

One year already?! Where did the time go?
I've covered just about every natural disaster and been to numerous rallies and meetings. While some stories were harder to tell than others, I loved every second of it.
Here's to the next year with the best team

I saw long lines and was instantly regretting waiting until the last day for early voting. However, it took 20 minutes tops. Not bad at all.

I just worked a nice, long 11-hour shift, only to go home and have to finish homework.
Why did I think being a full-time student with a full-time job would be a good idea?
Long lines at Austin Airport this morning! They're expecting about 32,000 passengers today. If traveling, remember to arrive two and a half hours before boarding.

When my sister and I were 5, all we dreamed of was having a dog. My mom said we couldn’t get one until we moved into a house, with a backyard. She also said the dog had to be trained and couldn’t shed. We thought it would be an impossible find, but then we got Nicky.
