When Indonesians fought for their independence, Australian port workers (represented by the unions) refused to supply arms to Dutch East Indies, fearing that it would be used against Indonesians.
It worked, they halt the Dutch progress in Indonesia.
Belgian transport workers are refusing to supply arms to Israel and the violence done by Israel has provoked massive shows of support for the people Palestine everywhere in the world. This demonstrates that workers have a keen sense of internationalism. Patriotism is a dead end.
