yes, most will.
i was a 33-year-old ultra runner who became housebound for the best part of two years with long covid. only started to recover in may of this year. ‘most’ of 1 billion people still leaves a lot of unlucky ones.

now i can just about manage a walk round the park.

same here.
i was an (up to) ultra-marathon runner.
now day-to-day life is ok, but when i try to even jog it feels like i have asthma, and often my lungs will burn for days afterwards.
no answers as to when, and even if we'll get better; no sense that we are acknowledged.

then started bouldering instead (as i thought it was just my lungs/heart that weren't working).
had a huge crash in jan, and that's when i believe my long covid became cfs.

i am 18 months too, &––i realise this is very subjective–– it has helped me to realise i have me/cfs. that much (though not all) of long covid is just a kind of me/cfs, and that the sooner we all band together, the sooner we can overcome decades of stigma & dearth of research.
